use water to break apart the vacuum sealed glob
Giving three stars because they ARE filters and will work as replacements. They just need a little bit of care prior to use.They arrived vacuum sealed as one giant glob so I had to submerge them into water to gently work them apart. The filters themselves are cut unevenly with varying height levels. This will be fine for the most part. After using the water to expand them, they do look like they will do the trick. I just wish I didn't have to use water to do this initially seeing as I wanted to store them for when I would actually need them. It's probably better to prewash them anyway so long as you can properly dry them.

Water fountain sponges disappointing.
These sponge filters are not the same as the original ones that came with the fountain. These are very flimsy and not very good quality.

These are very bad quality
They came in shrink wrap which made them flat. they were so thin that when you try to open them they break. only 2 were even usable. But so little and thin they will do no good as filter
