Don't buy from this company; save your money and buy a standard shower you can modify instead
My husband and I bought a zero threshold shower from this company in March. It was three times the price of a standard one we could have bought from Home Depot and then modified ourselves, which we ended up having to do with this company's shower anyway. The nonskid floor isn't. It's just as slippery as a slick porcelain tub but has just enough texture to it that nonskid decals don't stick to it unless you superglue them on, which we did. And since this shower has a zero threshold meant for wheelchair and walker users, these people will be seated during their shower. As I am. Yet the shower manufacturers put the shelving for shampoo and soap at STANDING height. Impossible to reach. We ended up modifying the shower by installing our own shelving so that I'd have a place to put everything. Finally, the "zero threshold" is a piece of junk. It leaks so that the bathroom was always flooded until hubs caulked it. In short, please. Save your money and buy a standard shower that you can modify yourself. If we had known better, we would have done that. Handholds at the shower entrance and a tight "ramp" setup for the three-inch threshold on a standard shower would have made it just as accessible as this for anyone in a chair or on a walker, and we ended up installing our own shelving and grab bars anyway. Even if you have to hire someone to do that for you, you'll still save money and have a superior shower vs. anything from this company.
