Eaglemoss - Marvel - Iron Man Mark VII Helmet

I was so surprised when I received this cuz it is solid, heavy and absolutely beautiful! I bought it to go on a memorial wreath for my son but I may have to buy another one for display. I love it!

Considering the price, it's a fine enough shelf decoration that will fit alongside the rest of my Marvel decor. But I do take umbrage at calling this a "Museum" quality piece. Sure it looks nice at first glance but upon closer inspection, there's a glaring flaw in the paint job that you can't overlook. It's so uneven, it's mottled. Right out of the box, it's covered with hundreds of tiny spots all across the top of the helmet. Once you see it, that's all you can see. And there's an unusual dark spot right on top that's a mystery to me as to where it may have come from. It's clearly not intended as part of the paint job, so was it a defect in painting? A quality control issue that slipped by? Was the helmet a return and simply repackaged and sent out to the next customer(me)?Again, considering I only paid $25 for it and it's going to sit on my shelf, I'm not going to complain or bother with a return. But I have seen others complaining about the paint on their helmets so it's possible this is a known factory defect that they're intentionally overlooking.

Just received my Mark VII helmet display piece. Solid build, but something stood out right away. There is a deep scuff mark on the corner of the chin (see photo). It cuts down into the resin! Others have noted the paint on these isn't always perfect. Pack seemed to be sealed, but not sure. Quality level? Might return it. Too bad, it's a nice display.

The faceplate looks silver instead of golden. In person it's more silver but on camera it's more gold. It's solid it doesn't feel cheap.
