Great Bowls
So, my big "bad" American Bulldog was, somehow, scared of his stainless steel bowls. The vet said to try a different type of bowl, so I bought these. The price seemed a bit high, but once they arrived I understood why. The first thing I noticed was the weight. I know mass does not necessarily equal quality, but in this case it does. These are very thick ceramic bowls, attractively painted (we bought the water bowl that has a blue-ish bottom), and, as far as I can tell, free from defects. In the unlikely event I need to purchase another bowl, I won't hesitate to replace with the same. My "Bully" no longer whimpers as he approaches his food.

I like this bowl for its size
Had a ceramic bowl of another type, dropped it, boom!So I found this bowl. I like this bowl for its size. It's the medium and It can hold about 2 cups of dry food (Science diet pellet style). I give my 55 lb Pitty a cup at a time when feeding and this bowl holds it perfectly. The look is nice, doesn't seem to be a kind to wear out too fast.

Nice Ceramic Bowl
It would have been nice if they had added some rubber to the bottom of the bowl to protect it better. The bowl does its job. I purchased this to prevent my dog's nose from getting the pink stains on it.

Purchased this adorable bowl last month for a new puppy
Purchased this adorable bowl last month for a new puppy. Am disappointed that within the first week or two it already had a few small chips in the glaze. It is way too fragile and I have been very careful with it. I have never had this problem with any other ceramic dog bowls that I have purchased from other manufacturers. Also be aware that it gets very hot in the microwave! Another issue I never experienced with heavier weight bowls.

Was bowled over
Thought is was going to be bigger in diameter but still holds plenty of food for out 86 pound girl. It's quieter when her tags hit the bowl, not nearly as noisy as our previous stainless steel bowls. The chink clink was really disrupting her meal time.

Love Melia dog bowls. Heavy, quality bowl. My dog does not push this around.
