We recommend rounding up for sizes referenced above. Please know the sizing guide is an estimate, as everyone's hands are different. Very durable for the price
I've bought several other brands of work gloves in the $10 range and Galatia Gear really stands out. I'm a stock associate at a warehouse andI handle or make hundreds of boxes a day and these have shown very little wear and tear for the month I've been using them. Other brands that I've used would have already started coming apart at the seams and/or tearing at the finger tips.Elastic cuff with a strong Velcro closure makes for a secure fit despite a medium being larger than what my hand is. The whole under side of the glove is made of synthetic leather with a couple gel pads at the palm and extra leather at the thumb and pointer finger tips, all double stitched. Top of the glove is primarily a breathable mesh with light padding at the tops of the knuckles and leather reinforcing the tops of the fingers. Overall very well made.My minor gripes would include a lack of a terry cloth for wiping sweat and the general thickness of the glove makes it a little stiff and less dexterous (while I am able to use a touch screen device with the gloves on, it's not very accurate at all). Finally, I hope Galatia Gear would consider making a small sized glove. None of these are enough to take away a star.Overall, though, I am extremely pleased with this product as it has exceeded all my expectations for a $10 work glove, it's an excellent value!

Sizing is wack
My issue with these gloves is not the glove itself but the sizing. Before buying, I measured my palm as indicated by a Google search on the topic. My measurement put my hand in the "XL" glove size but I took the advice of others and ordered one size larger (2XL). When they arrived I could get my hand into the glove but it certainly wasn't comfortable and was not going to work. I didn't look like OJ on the stand but they were still too small. I rechecked the item to make sure I had recd 2XL and I had. I returned this pair to Amazon (Love Amazon!!) and ordered the 3XL size. That made me a bit nervous as I have never bought a 3XL item in my life and I pictured them looking like an overcoat for each hand. When they arrived I was quite surprised to see that they were way too small, being either the same size as the 2XL if not even smaller. Again I checked the label and they were 3XL. They were also returned. I have a closet full of XL sized gloves that all fit fine so I was confused. I'm sure this company knows how to make and size gloves so I'm going to guess that they have quality issues were gloves are being marked incorrectly. Just a guess of course but I didn't know what else to think.

Read Description Carefully...
I guess I missed the part in the description that read, "[S]trategic holes in sides of fingers for greater breathability." The problem with holes is that all the dirt gets in. I bought these for moving wood, but the description also states you can use these for gardening. After using for about 5 minutes, I had dirt under my fingernails! The holes for breathability defeats the purpose of wearing the gloves. Yes, I want to protect my hand, but I also want to keep all the disgusting stuff I'm touching off, too.I gave these an extra star for two reasons: 1) I do appreciate the velcro to keep them tight at the wrist & 2) for someone with small hands it's hard to find good fitting gloves that don't have an inch of extra space at the fingertips. These fit like I want, though I think I should have ordered a medium instead of a small. I measured my hand at about 7.25.

Order one size up
I ordered one pair of these gloves even though I wanted two pairs. I wanted to see if I would like them before ordering the second pair. Believe the advice to go up one size from what is recommended. I measured my hand at 8.5 inches, at the low end of X-Large and so I ordered X-large. They are a bit snug. I have since ordered a second pair at 2X-Large. I hope these fit better. What I like about these gloves is they have wrist straps. In the fall I have to pick up a lot of leaves and they are all the time sneaking into my gloves so I have to stop and shake them out. That won't happen with these gloves. The quality seems first class. Now all I have to do is make sure my dog doesn't run off with them and bury them somewhere, never to be seen again (until I till the garden).

Holding up just as well as other similar types of gloves but for half the price.
I use these for digging, handling cinder blocks, wood working projects, lawn projects, home projects, etc...They turned out to be a pretty decent pair of gloves and half the price of other gloves that I have had similar to these. They fit true to size if you know your glove size. If you don't know your glove size there are a bunch of sites online to show you how to do it yourself. They recommend you round up...so if in doubt a few other reviews say to order the next higher size. I did not have to. But I am a woman with big hands...not thick hands. Woman's XL gloves are not long enough in the fingers for me... so I have to wear men's. Their large fit my hands perfect.I would recommend these for most projects except ones that required fine detail or small pieces. When I worked in the electrical trade, I would cut out the tips of the first two fingers and thumb...warping duct tape around them so they did not fray. Sometimes you need those fingers for work but don't want to have the rest of your hands beat up. I would have no problem doing that to these if I needed to...especially for the price of pre-made ones that already have those tips cut out.

Good Gloves for Studio Work
These are good gloves. Just make sure you order a pair that is 2 sizes bigger than your size. I'm a medium, ordered a large, and they are tight. The only good thing about this is that they will stretch out over time, and there is no extra space at the end of my fingers. They feel solid and I think they will do nicely. Just don't touch any hot studio lights with them. They would need to be twice as thick as these. But they will keep your skin oil from getting on the bulb when you screw it into the socket. Great for adjusting barn doors and the other hard work associated with setting up a shoot. I like the Velcro closures on the wrists. I wish they had elastic on the sides of the fingers, though. Then the size would not be an issue.
