Run this by a veterinarian first ?
My cat's been licking, itching and biting herself (not due to fleas) and we can't figure out the cause, even after consulting with a couple of veterinarians to try and determine if maybe there's an allergic reaction going on or if it's psychogenic alopecia but we're not sure. Anyways although I didn't purchase this ointment from Amazon (but from a local health foods and supplements store) I felt compelled to write a review of this here, especially because there are almost no reviews of this product online anywhere. Also there are no detailed instructions with this ointment on the jar for use. I called the company directly to ask about use of the product. Even though you'd think with all-natural ingredients this wouldn't cause a reaction, but it did on my cat. I put a very thin layer on a spot on her belly that she'd made pink from too much licking of herself. After the ointment the whole patch turned bigger and darker/brown-red. This still hasn't faded much after a few days. So I'm not recommending this skin soother as it has seemingly not helped my cat and possibly made things worse. If you're going to use it to attempt to "soothe" your cat's skin, consult a veterinarian first, preferably a homeopathic one.
