A new kind of cookbook and I’m into it!
The whole structure is so new and makes it so easy to follow as an amateur cook. The idea of core recipes that you use again and again should’ve been done before and I can’t believe it hasn’t. I love it!It’s like talking to Poppy throughout. Amazing book which will be in my kitchen for years.

Delia Smith meets Nigella
I’ve been a huge fan of Poppy’s TikTok page through lockdown but even I didn’t anticipate just how great this book would be!I absolutely love the format - it has several core recipes (tomato sauce, bechemel, meringue for example) that you build out into beautiful dishes at whatever level you please, from basics to cheffy treats for dinner parties. It’s the type of book that will equally appeal to novice chefs as well as experienced cooks. Plus, the amount of potato recipes is absolutely glorious. Can’t recommend it more!

A breath of fresh air
At last a cook book that is fun, useful and one I will use for years to come. I have followed Poppy from the very beginning on TikTok and Instagram. She has managed to portray her skill and personality throughout this book. She can connect with young and old.A superstar in the making.

The cookbook I didn't know I needed
I've been a bit of a cookbook fanatic over the years, but mainly I make one or two recipes and then they gather dust. I bought this one because I liked the concept and it has great reviews. The book is amazing. I've already made a bunch of recipes, with a bunch more I'm planning on - the ratio of how many dishes I fancy vastly outweighs the ones I'll pass, which is quite rare in my experience. I love that you start with the basic element and then adapt it to different levels of skills. Why didn't I know this was what I needed?! Fantastic, love it.

The only cookbook you'll ever need
Potatoes. Not the book. The veg. Poppy is Queen of potatoes and allthingsawesome about cooking. I love the layout, teaching core basics and how to then use them for different levels of food. I'm just to excited to pimp my food to epic proportions
