Unexpectedly good for the price!
I checked out reviews of this mic on YouTube before buying it and despite hearing recordings of it sounding fairly clean, I still didn't have high hopes. For a $30 bundle of a mic, pop filter and stand, this is an incredible value, definitely get more than what you pay for with this. When price is considered, I have to give this 5 stars because the value prospect makes up for the fact that it doesn't sound like a $200 mic.The stand isn't the greatest quality, but I haven't had any real issues with it. Pop filter is pretty standard quality. Shock mount works as it should. The mic isn't the most high quality, but for recording voice overs I think it's fine. I've watched videos of people also using to recording singers and miking a guitar amp and it was acceptable enough for somebody on a tight budget. Not something you'd see in a professional studio obviously, but you shouldn't be expecting that given the price.Hook it up to a real audio interface and you'll probably get better results. I use a Scarlett 2i2.

Better than a headset, comparable to BM-800
I purchased the Neewer NW-800 for under $25 during a flash sale. I am comparing this model to my Floureon BM-800.The NW-800 mic quality is about the same as the BM-800. The Neewer sounds more compressed, but it's subjective whether that's a good or bad thing. Both sound good enough for streaming and gaming, and both outperform any headset that I've ever owned. The NW-800 build quality is about the same as the BM-800. The Neewer has a satin black finish instead of a gloss finish like the Floureon. The Neewer feels more hollow when handling and tapping on the mic, but it's not bad.I experience interference when plugging the mic directly into my computer's 3.5mm jack, and some computers cannot amplify the mic enough to be usable. I use an audio USB interface for my mics and instruments, and that remedies the interference and mic gain issue. The scissor arm does not have the mic cable internally integrated as pictured, which was a little disappointing. My Floureon came with an internalized cable, which greatly improves aesthetics and reduces cable clutter.

) I was looking for a good budget introductory set
I purchased this kit because I wanted to switch from a headset to a condenser microphone that would let me use my Audiotechnica headphones along with it. Since I didn't have any of the parts (such as a stand, power supply, shock mount, etc.) I was looking for a good budget introductory set. After searching for ~1 week I came across this kit which was considerably cheaper than the combined cost of similar setups if I had purchased the different parts individually.I've been using this setup for about 2 months now and love it. If you're looking to get a microphone setup this is by far the best "bang for your buck" deal I found. I've listed out a few pros and cons for this setup but overall the positive aspects far outweigh the negative aspects.Pros:-Cheap bundle, no need to piecemeal parts-Quality parts, especially the microphone unlike other bundles I viewed-Looks pretty neatCons:-The wire arm on the pop filter sucks and doesn't really hold well, I never planned on using it initially, however, so I didn't let this effect my overall rating.-The scissor arm stand and clamp don't really have a locking mechanism besides just tightening a thumb screw

Flimsy arms.
I understand that price kinda reflects quality. The microphone is ok.. the stand is just plain terrible. The post is not sturdy enough to support the weight of the microphone and arm. It just bends. I'm replacing it very soon.

Great mic kit for a great price. Would buy again.
First, YOU MUST HAVE PHANTOM POWER. It in the description a few times but unless your interface has 48v power to the mic its just not gonna work well. That said, hooking it up to my Behringer UMC202HD interface was a breeze and the sound quality it fantastic. Input levels are nice and loud and the sound it crisp and clean. The arm works well as long as your at least moderately careful with it and I did not have any issue with the arm holding the weight of the mic or re-positioning it.The pop filter and wind filter are added bonuses and either one works well. I prefer the foam wind cover.. I guess I just not that hard with my P's.The isolation mount fits well and hold the mic firmly in place. Just remember to use the two levers to open the holder.. just don't jam the mic into the mount. For under $30 its a great deal for beginner/intermediate use.

This mic sounds awful!
Please let me preface this by saying I spent 20 years in radio and even built a 100,000 watt FM station from the ground up. For the last 10 years, I've been a freelance voiceover talent, and my clients include Verizon, Vice Grips, and the University of Notre Dame, so you can safely say I know what good audio is supposed to sound like.I bought one of these in preparation for a seminar I'll be delivering on audio quality. I did a two channel comparison recording using my regular studio mic and the Neweer NW-800 at the same time. The result? The Neweer sounds like something recorded over the telephone. There's no bass, and a high noise level It's genuinely awful. Yes, it picks up audio, but that's about it. I will definitely return it.I just don't understand why there are so many positive reviews for this mic. I guess it's because it will indeed allow you to make a recording, and it's only $29.99. The nicest things I can say about it are that the black and gold metal combination looks great, it's all packed very well, and the included round pop filter is pretty nice.If you're looking for a cheap mike, get an MXL-990. It's about $70 here on Amazon for a new one. You'll spend more, but it's a giant leap up in sound quality.

Fantastic deal for the beginner on a budget.
Value is great, the retractable arm & Mic are great value. Just wish the cable included would have been an XLR to XLR and not the half-a**ed XLR to 3.5mm TRS affair that comes with it. (It will NOT work WELL connected as-is to a sound interface, be it onboard sound or external USB device.).Though it requires purchasing either a phantom power block or phantom powered interface and a cable, this bundle still remains a solid deal. For context, here's my setup: I'm using this hooked to a Behringer X1204USB mixing board. - Control room Out ---> dedicated headphone amp. - RCA out to 3.5mm TRS ---> SB Live USB---> Computer ---> TOSlink ---> HK Receiver ---> Headset/speakersWith proper gain staging, the mic yields a very acceptable performance. Noise floor, even with a budget mixer is quite acceptable. The cardioid pattern works well and I'm not picking-up too much background noise in my quite noisy environment. Both kits to monitor sound very clean. Friends with whom I've discussed over VOIP only had praise for the sound of this thing, telling me I sound just as if I was in the same room as they are.I've recorded a few 'tube videos using OBS, and only had to apply a 4 db noise cancelling filter to yield a perfectly quiet result, even though I was running two PCs a mere foot and a half away. The included retractable arm is strong enough to yield adequate support, the included pop filters, both foam and mesh work well.I've seen some reviews claim that it is not a true condenser Mic, but in fact an electret Mic. I wouldn't know, I'm not very well versed on the technical stuff, but as far as I'm concerned, I don't care, really. It just bloody works, and does so very well. I bought a thrift product, and it is quite amazing in it's quality and performance, given the money spent.I did not pay for an AKG, sE Electronics or Neuman, and neither anyone who bought this. Anyone who's RTFM, installs it with the required attention, gets a proper XLR cable, decent phantom power source and hooks it in proper fashion should be quite happy at this price point. Many single star reviews seem to me like serious Code 18s.

¡Calidad - precio inmejorable!

The media could not be loaded.

A Great Microphone For The Money - Needs Phantom Power to be at it's best
So i ordered this Microphone after looking at a few reviews on YouTube, seems like people there had mixed feelings about it, and those people were seemingly using USB audio adapters that have a small amount of phantom power.. However i have a full audio interface that has +48 Phantom power, running it on that brings the best out of the cheap microphone by a mile, anything like a USB adapter or even using the supplied XLR to 3.5mm cable is going to cause you grief, quality loss and a headache in general. I recommend an audio interface and proper balanced XLR cable. So onto audio, the Microphone's quality for me is excellent for the money to be honest. It lacks a little on the low end and doesn't have much 'warmth' to it but for podcasting, voiceovers and general chatting to friends it's perfect. I'm not recording instruments with this so i'm not looking for incredible quality all throughout the range but it certainly is workable with a bit of EQ'ing. But no artifacting or unwanted noise on the mic when i have it plugged into my audio interface, it's clear, concise and does the job for basic voice work such as YouTube video etc.The rest of the kit in this bundle is also equally impressive for the money, if the microphone doesn't do anything for you then it's certainly worth the money for a boom arm, a pop filter and a shock mount if nothing else! The boom arm has a chunky base to attach to your desk, with minimal wiggle room for the boom arm itself, also allows 360 rotation. The shock mount is nice and easy to use although it's probably not the best shock mount you can get, it provides some protection from knocks. Finally the pop filter is just a normal pop filter, i hate them anyway as they are so cumberson and instead use the wind shield that came with the microphone
