Pushes all things about prepared lids to the max. Not even worth making your own. The strong plastic withstands intense heat from sterilization and make them dishwasher safe. They can be completely disassembled for easy cleaning and come with two injection ports for more than enough use before replacement. The seal is much stronger than regular jar lids as well making for less contamination. They are slightly more expensive but worth it in every regard!

I've made quite a few, but I suppose I became lazy. These are great and pretty cheap. Will purchase again.

They worked the first couple times then I had to take them apart and silicone the area where the filters go.Update: I changed my review to 5 stars because the company reached out and helped resolve my problems. Good to have a company that stands by their products.

I loved it for the fact it had 2 injection ports

Nicer material than the cheap white ones at the store. They really shouldn't need gaskets and they make them more difficult to work with, but they did fine in the PC and my grain and LC jars did well with these. The syringe filter isn't enough air exchange for grain spawn, though. Since I was already using them, I pulled out one of the injection ports and covered the hole with a 0.2 filter sticker and it was good after.

Hey team, it's the Oak and Spore Mushroom Farm here, as seen on Youtube. We purchased this lids for some LC, and they are all leaking very badly. Once we notice them leak, we have to throw the LCs away.It's caused a loss of a bunch of new cultures, time, and of course money.Avoid these lids at all cost, they are not fit for purpose.

I use these for my liquid culture.Use with or without the filter. Didn't blow it up when I tested it with cap tight. But now I loosen the cap just to extend filter life.Expensive but reusable

Exactly as described. Totally forgot these were for Wide mouth jars. Not the ones I currently have, so went out to get new ones. They handled sterilization temps just fine as well.

After 2nd use in the pressure cooker all 6 lids show signs of rust. Switched to plastic and couldn’t be happier.
