Does its job.
This stand is good quality and comes with various thread adapters. The c part of the clamp is made of plastic while most of the rest of the device is made of metal. I am using it to hold an 8-1/2" x 11" soft light and it does a great job. Use your imagination for many other uses. My only complaint is that when I received the item it had a terrible odor to it. It smelled as if it had been stored in a flooded basement. I had to clean and disinfect it before I could do anything with it.

Alright stand
Had the smaller version first and it ended up just snapping off my table and almost breaking my light, however after msging the support they ended up sending me the upgrading on free of charge and apologizing for the stand breaking. Sense that issue have nothing but positive experiences

Perfect for small desk light
This light stand works great with my Aputure Amaran AL-F7. It is light weight and well made. It feels sturdy enough to hold heavier devices such as mirrorless cameras. The picture shows it holding a DSLR and I do believe it can hold this, however, I would be careful if using this at max extension to hold a heavy DSLR with a bulky lens. I would highly recommend this for the price.

Gets the job done for a desk studio
I had a tripod crammed into my little room that I use for shooting, but this eliminates the space that a normal tripod would take up. With this stand and some improvised boom mic stands for lights I now have a fully functioning desk studio ready to go for youtube at a minimal cost. The stand is a little on the rinky-dink side, as I had my canon 80d DSLR with a huge lens on it. Not that the construction was bad, in fact, it seems to be made out of some sort of light metal. It's not bescar or Adamantium, but other similar stands on amazon in reviews seemed to be made of plastic. I have since switched to a mirrorless camera, Sony a6400, with a 35mm 1.8 which is much much lighter. The stand has no problem supporting the weight of this setup.

Doesn't allow tilting
I use the light to balance the lighting for video calls in my office. I have it mounted to a variable desk for both standing and sitting. It moves with the desk surface.I had the light ring on a tripod, but that didn't work when I changed the desk height. This works well for that purpose. It wobbles a bit when I adjust the height, but it doesn't once the desk height is set.The tripod allowed height adjustments, rotation and the ability to tip the light forward and backward. This stand doesn't allow that. Since I wear glasses, tipping helps avoid glare on glasses. Also would avoid the circles yo see on a lot of people's glasses in video chats.

No tilt ability :(
Not a bad mount, but really should've came with a tilt function. Had to purchase an accessory just to be able to tilt my camera.

holds my Nikon d810 to my desk
Its lightweight, fairly sturdy as long as you make sure all connection points are screwed in well

Metal where it matters, sturdy, but...
It works well. I use it as a desktop mobile phone mount for video conferencing etc. So sturdy enough for my purpose. The only letdown is the cleanliness of the product. Shame really! It's a good product that is purely letdown by the crap left behind from the manufacturing process. I tried cleaning it with some alcohol based cleaning solution; not budging! It not visible unless I look for it, but still a letdown!

Minimalist stand, good height adjustment, does the job nicely
I've bought two of these now, one for a mirrorless camera and another for a keylight - clamed perfectly at the back of my desk. These stands are sturdy but lightweight - I may use one as an arm extender when vlogging out and about. The clamps securely hold the pole in place. The thread adapter for different size screws has come in handy too, though I've ended up using ball heads on top so I can adjust the light and cam properly. Ideal if like me you travel and need to take your desk setup with you.

Great for VR basestations
Have used these for VR base stations that vibrate and for holding webcams to my desk. Work great.

Coated with ammonia powder?
Everything is held in place with threading which is great, the build is solid enough to hold up 1kg speakers using the provided 3/8 adapter. Unfortunately anywhere that has metal construction seems to be coated with ammonia powder.Anyone that buys this please have paper towels and alcohol ready to clean it up prior to usage.
