Maybe not a typical use....
I do a fair bit of 3D FDM printing. The plastic filament used "prints" very well when it is dry, but if it sits around for a while and picks up moisture, it can be impossible to get a good print. A bunch of companies make 3D filament dryers. In my experience, they are cheaply constructed. They don't go a good job of keeping the air moving around the filament so drying can be uneven if you don't keep going back and rotating the spools. When the last one I purchased failed after 2 days, I returned it to Amazon and decided that I was done with 3D Filament Dryers. I found this 10 tray food dehydrator. It had excellent reviews. And the price was good for me. So I ordered it. I can put three 1 kilogram spools into this dryer. It has an active fan that really circulates the air inside the cabinet. And I've been pleased with how accurate the temperature control is. Like I said in the headline, maybe my use is not a typical use for this piece of equipment. But I've been very happy with it. And given that it does such a great job on these pieces of plastic I'm trying to dry out, I have to think that it would also be great at doing it's intended job of dehydrating food. My only complaint about it - and I never thought I'd hear myself say this - is that I can't set it to display in Centigrade. All the filaments out there typically give you their preferred drying temperature in Celsius. And this unit is Farenheit only. LOL. It's not a big deal for me. I simply made myself a little conversion chart and that works great for me! So that's not really something I should complain about. I just love this machine. A word of caution though if you do want to use this for drying 3D printer filament. It operates between 90 and 165 degrees F (32 to 74 degrees C). So some of the engineering materials like TPU, PC, PPS, etc., may have to be dried longer at a lower temperature or maybe you'll have to use a different system for them. I rarely print in those materials. And typically when I do, I'll burn up a whole spool within a few days so they really don't sit around and pick up moisture. But just be aware of that "limitation." But I can say with full conviction that this is an excellent addition to my 3D printing efforts. I highly recommend it.

Simple, Effective, Delicious: My Magic Mill Pro Review
I'm very pleased with my Magic Mill Pro Food Dehydrator! It's become a staple in my kitchen for making healthy snacks and preserving food. Here's why I recommend it: This dehydrator works incredibly well. I've used it for everything from jerky and fruit to herbs, and it handles everything with ease. It's very efficient and the results are consistently great. The controls are very intuitive, making it simple to set the time and temperature. It operates quietly, which is a big plus. The stainless steel trays are also very easy to clean and are dishwasher-safe. It holds a good amount of food without taking up too much counter space. The dehydrator feels very well-made with sturdy trays. A couple of minor things to note: The temperature is adjusted in increments, not by individual degrees, and the unit does get warm during operation. However, these are far outweighed by the dehydrator's many positive features.Overall, I highly recommend the Magic Mill Pro Food Dehydrator to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient way to dehydrate food. It's a great investment for making healthy snacks, preserving seasonal produce, and more!

Good Quality
I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but I really like what I see so far. It came on time and very well packaged. The trays are good quality and I appreciate the built in hand holds on the side. It makes it very easy to carry. I got this to replace an older, round, plastic dehydrator that I have used for years. Will update after I’ve had a chance to use it.**Update: I wanted to update after using. I really love the fact that you can set the time and then it will turn itself off. It seems to dry a bit faster than what the guidelines are in most dehydrating books so take that into consideration. I love this machine!

Very pleased with purchase.
We got this dehydrator about a month or a month and a half ago. My husband works for a wholesale produce company, and we get more fruit than we know what to do with. We also have a camping trip coming up this summer, and want to try to dehydrate as much food on our own as we can.The first week, I dehydrated 3-4 applies. They shrink down to small pieces. I ate them all because I love dried fruit but I probably shouldn't have. Since then, we'd done blueberries (which end up tasting a little like Craisins), strawberries and dragon fruit. The machine does an excellent job, and is big enough to get a lot of food into. The wracks are easy to clean. We've also made chicken and beef jerky and have loved how they came out. I liked the chicken jerky more than the beef. Anyway, we've already gotten so much more use out of this than we thought we would. There's a site that teaches you "how to dehydrate anything" and I'd like to try chili next, so we can see how it might work for our trip.

Got a good deal on it.
I love it. But you need to learn how to use it. It works good. It not that loud when it’s working.. I made dried banana, bananas, and kiwi. And beef jerky. You have to remember when you’re doing something and if it doesn’t look done, do it a little longer. Yes I would recommend it to anyone.

Surprisingly Solid Dehydrator – Safe, Quiet, and Effective
I was a bit hesitant to buy a dehydrator after reading so many horror stories about poor quality—doors that don’t close properly, trays that don’t fit, even fire hazards. Thankfully, this one turned out to be a great find! It reaches the proper temperatures for safely making jerky, runs pretty quietly, and everything fits and works as it should. I’ve been really happy with it so far and would definitely recommend it to others.

Easy to use, good price!
We're hooked! This is our first dehydrator and we're so glad we chose this model. So far we've done Cosmic Crisp apples; they are delicious and easy. The machine's price is comparatively low, too. Give it a try! Edit: we rather liberally sprinkled Fruit Fresh, (a powder found in the canning aisle) onto the cut fruit, and mixed it well. It resulted in very light gold apples instead of brown.
