They both stop working.
I dislike that both of them went out. Will not turn on or recharge. I use them for my job. Now that they both don't work, I don't know to do.

Whoa..
The media could not be loaded. The sound on the video doesn’t do this thing justice. My girls retreated to a corner holding their ears after hearing the sound! It won’t be as loud in an open area but it’s still terrifying. We bought these after a near miss with aggressive dogs at a park, they were off leashes and the irresponsible owners were nowhere in sight. We had a gun on us but that would have been a very bad idea to use as there were several bystanders and children around. This taser flashlight is bigger than I thought, about as long as a spatula, and is lightweight. To me it’s the perfect weight to be used as a club if for some reason it fails and you have nothing else.. the flashlight is also respectably bright. One of them didn’t work and I quickly found that the end cap wasn’t seating all the way. Just had to work the threads a little and it seated nicely and works well. Seems well made but time and use will tell! At least I won’t have to worry about my family’s safety when we’re out walking or at a park.

UNSAFE PRODUCT: The charger nearly caught fire within a second of plugging it in.
Each of the two stun sticks came with its own battery charger. I received these items last Sunday (Easter). I went to charge the batteries to the wands for the very first time tonight. I put the batteries into the chargers exactly as the instructions specified to. When I plugged them both in, one charger unit worked perfectly, but the other unit began to smoke instantly, the charger coils all turned bright red and shriveled up from the extreme heat, and the smell of melting plastic filled my house. Luckily, I didn’t just plug them in a walk away; because, at the rate that the charging unit was gaining heat, the device would have inevitably caused a house fire in under 5 minutes. I don’t even want to get into the obvious irony of me buying an electronic self defense item to keep me and my family safer and then having that self defense item nearly start a house fire that endangered everyone I love. This thing that was supposed to protect us from danger ended up being the danger. And, it’s not only dangerous because it’s a weapon. It’s dangerous, because it’s a defectively manufactured weapon. Obviously, I returned these items. Amazon empathized with how scary the situation was and gave me a $20 credit for my inconvenience. The agent who helped process my return request was fantastic. Still, I felt compelled to write this review for the general safety of anyone else out there thinking about buying this product. In other customer reviews of this product, there were numerous mentions of major battery/battery charger issues. I glossed over them, because I thought the product looked cool and the majority of the other reviews claimed the product is fantastic. If you bought one of these and it functions and charges perfectly for you, congratulations and I hope the batons keep you safe. However, always keep this in the back of your mind: When the charger begins to malfunction, it results in an astronomically more dire ramification than just “the batteries won’t charge.” The actual ramification sounds more like, “Screw the batteries, my living room is on fire!” Luckily I caught it within a matter of seconds and I don’t even want to think about what could have happened if I hadn’t. For the safety of you and your families, DO NOT BUY THIS HAZARDOUS PRODUCT. I KNOW THE STUN STICKS LOOK COOL, BUT THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A HOUSE FIRE WAITING TO HAPPEN.

Good stun baton, BUT not USB rechargeable
These stun batons are monsters, I'm very happy with their battery life and performance so far. My only complaint is that it is not made clear that these are not plug in rechargeable, they send you a battery charger that plugs in to a wall, and you have to take the batteries out of the baton and insert into the battery charger. It's not a huge deal, but it is misleading that they only say "rechargeable" knowing the consumer is going to assume that means USB rechargeable.

Nice but hope all I ever need is the flashlight..This thing would really smart...
Delivered as ordered and in good condition...After a quick test to see how things worked after reading the instructions this is what I found:The instructions may have been accurate at one time but are not accurate now...The unit powers up using the large On/Off button on the non-business end of the baton...At this time you will have a red led indication and are ready to rock and roll (Stun)...Depressing the button closest to the red led (less than a second) will cause an Electrical Arc and pretty loud Zap...Depressing the button a little further back will take the unit out of Stun Mode and transfer it to Flashlight Mode...At that point slight depressions to the On/Off switch will give you Full-----Half or Strobe lighting...I noticed on one of the units that I only had an Arc/Zap on one side, this was due to a weak battery and I charged them all as the instructions stated...When one or both batteries are inserted in the charger a green led will appear if there is any juice left, but do Not take this as an indication of a totally charged battery...Plug the unit into an AC outlet and a Red Led will blink as the Batteries Charge....When the Red Led stops blinking and the Green Led is on the units are Fully Charged...This Should happen in under 8 hours, mine took about 7 hrs on the first charge...Amazon has replacement batteries, do a search for SDL 18650 4800MAH...The Stun perspective will not be tested by me as I am Not that curious and several others have tried it on themselves or their mother in law and found it to be pretty nasty ( especially after mother in law got up off the floor )...
