This is an excellent cable. I followed the directions that came with the cable to setup the drivers for it correctly. I then (very important!) checked in device manager what COM port windows assigned it. Windows 10 assigned it "COM4". In NDS3 I had to change the COM port to this so everything would communicate correctly. After that I was able to use Nissan Data Scan 3 with my 2011 G37X Sedan and 2008 EX35.One draw back of this cable, the physical pins on it are very long, so when I plug it into my cars the connection is not as rigid as I would like it, the connector cannot fully seat. I am guessing the longer pins on this cable is to accommodate other models out there.

Showed up on time. Cable was very-well packaged and arrived as advertised. As with every other blue VAG-KKL cable I have purchased in the past I popped the OBD connector apart to verify that the chipset was FTDI 232RL which it is. This is not the case with basically all of the other VAG-KKL cable vendors who claim that the FTDI 232RL chipset in integrated into the cable but this is usually a lie (CH340 instead) so it's refreshing to see a vendor being honest about their product. Installation process was simple in both Windows 10 Pro (x64) and Windows 11 Pro (x64). Vendor sends an e-mail containing detailed installation instructions for a handful of different cases. I had the drivers installed and cable ready to go in about 5 minutes. If you've set things up correctly you should see something similar to the third picture I've included of the devices related to the cable are highlighted in green. I did a quit test just to verify that the cable is recognized and active which it is . Disregard the FAIL as it is unrelated to the cable. If you jsut want to read the codes then I would urge that you purchased a different cable or go to Autozone instead. If you're looking to do some logging and other such activities then this cable is what you need.

Correct chip and the cable works

I have followed the instructions several time the software does not install nor does the drivers it is a waste of money and time but then again you get what you pay for it may just be me but having a cd this the drivers and software is a better option in my opinion none of these downloads ever work I am very disappointed

After blowing the fuse for the 12v power adapter in my 2003 jetta I inadvertently pulled a fuse related to the airbag system; causing the airbag light to be set off. The only way to fix it was to take it to the dealer and pay for it to be reset; or use specialized software. There is a free version of the vcds software that can be used with third party cables. The website recommended getting one with an ftdi chip as those seem to function the best. Upon receiving the cable I downloaded the latest virtual comm port drivers from ftdi and booted up the vcds software. The cable was able to interface with the car on comm port 3 without issue and a minute later the airbag light was reset. All in all this was easy to setup and worked great.

Bought it just for vcds lite, came early, installed the driver's and it worked just fine. I'm assuming most of these bad reviews are just dummies who don't know how to install driver's.Side note: I did try to use this on a tuning software, everything connected great but I wasn't able to read the file on the ECU, that could just be me, the ECU, or something with the cable. You decide overall it was worth the few dollars spent.

I bought this OBD usb to reprogram the idle for my 2005 frontier. This vehicle needs a K line adapter to communicate. This usb works great for my application.

Works for what I needed it for (connecting to my Nissan). Another review mentioned just doing a google search for windows 10 drivers. I found a zip package and just pulled the folder with the drivers. I went into the control panel/device manager and installed the drivers from there (went to the USB devices and ports—with the wxclamation point—and right-clicked and had it search for the correct drivers in the folder). Worked like a charm.

Shipped quickly and was packaged well, item arrived sooner than expected and in good condition. Cable functions exactly as expected once drivers were installed. Other reviews state that Windows 7 32 Bit is required but it worked just fine on Windows 10 64 Bit. Also works with the most recent release of VCDS lite, both the free and paid versions. The same, or at least very similar, cable is available on ali-express or alibaba, and I know people who have had good experiences with those, and the price is considerably lower. However ordering off those sites comes with many drawbacks(shipping time, basically zero chance of a refund for a defective product or one that never arrives, etc etc.). If you want little hassle and your cable quickly, this is the one to buy.

The installation process is pretty wild. Cord will not work unless you have Windows 7 32bit installed on your computer. Their customer service response is pretty quick and they do seem pretty helpful, but I've yet to get this cord to work properly and don't really want to waste the time to have them remotely control my computer to install the drivers. In conclusion I'm going with the first option I had, which was buy the actual Ross-Tech cable . Seriously save yourself some time

Purchased this to use BtSSM for a JDM Subaru. Had issues with engine monitoring software that worked on a North American car but not JDM.This cable works effectively with BtSSM through KKL and so it worked perfect for me.

I had purchased this with the knowledge that there were issues using this on different computer systems. I thought I would have no issue loading it onto the computer but I was wrong. After 3 days of trying, calling every computer tech friend I had and writing to the seller for help it still sits on my desk. The issue was loading the driver for the cord. Worst of all it's going to cost me $20.00 to send it back.

Does exactly what it supposed to do. Just have to get software your self, they only send cable. I still give 5 start because i only needed cable already had software with drivers.
