Definitely an increase, but not the dramatic increase that I hoped for
I am writing this review because I did not see any reviews for those who have been trying to breastfeed after a breast reduction.I exclusively breastfed my first child in 2004, having an abundance of milk. I mean, I could feed an entire community of infants with my supply. At the time, my husband and I agreed that even though we were young (24), we wound not be having any more children. Well, it is now 2019 and we now have our surprise baby--15 years later! The plan was that I would exclusively breastfeed this child as well. That plan did not take into account the breast reduction I had seven years ago, a pre-term baby who did not know how to suck or latch on, the necessity to syringe feed for the first few days, and a tongue tie, which made latching on extremely painful and difficult. Long story short, I do not have the milk supply to exclusively breastfeed. With my best efforts, I could only hand express about 2 teaspoons of milk, and was losing much of this if I used the pump. This was extremely discouraging, considering what I had been used to in the past. My son was pre-term and has lots of issue with nearly every type of formula, even the hypoallergenic formula he uses now. I became so desperate to nurse him that I have tried everything--fenugreek, which made me smell faintly of maple syrup, milk thistle, non-alcoholic beer, and oatmeal. After some research, I tried goat's rue because I read that it can help to stimulate breast tissue growth and increase milk production. At this point, I had nothing to lose.I cannot say that the goat's rue does not work. That would be totally unfair because I did notice an increase. After consistently taking two tablets three times a day, I was able to hand express about 20 ml, which is twice as much as I had been expressing.Potentially Helpful Info:For those who may be struggling with some of the same issues, I want to say that although I still do not appear to be making enough milk to exclusively breastfeed, I have been able to increase my supply so my son gets more than 20 ml of breastmilk per day. How? 1) We had the tongue tie clipped and 2) When he was switched to hypoallergenic formula, he would not drink it, so he wanted to nurse more and I let him! I wasn't sure if he was getting anything at all, but I still let him latch on as much as he wanted. This has increased my supply dramatically--I'd like to note that this was when my son was 5 weeks old and I thought all hope had been lost because it was so late in the game. Although I do make more milk now, I also realized that the amount that I am able to pump now (1 oz--total from both sides) is not an accurate indicator of the amount of milk that is available to my son. I guess it is true that babies are able to remove milk from the breast more effectively than any pump.Although I have finished my bottle of goat's rue, I am planning to try it again one more time to see if I can possibly get an increase from 1 oz to 2 oz with the pump. I plan to return to update this review afterwards.

IT DEFINITELY HELPED ME!!
I started using this 3months PP when I was struggling to produce milk, and after taking these pills it really did help, I need to get another one but they seem to be out of stock! I’m 6 months PP and my milk decreased after not taking them. I was pumping up to 35-39oz and now if I’m lucky I’ll get 24-27oz a day. GET THEM BACK PLEASE ! 😫

Supplements to boost milk supply
Even though I breastfed my other 2 children without any issues my 3rd baby was still below birthweight at his 2 week appointment. The pediatrician told me that I was making skim milk and I needed to take the supplement "brewers yeast" to thicken my milk up. I was also supposed to top my baby off with formula after every feeding 👎🏻 I'm not against using formula, in fact I top my baby off with a bottle of formula every night before bed. However, I did not want my baby to become dependent upon formula for every feeding. So I began researching additional supplements that I could take to help boost my milk supply. I started taking brewers yeast 4 times a day, fenugreek 3 times a day, marshmallow root 2 times a day, fennel seed 2 times a day, and goats rue 3 times a day. Between the supplements and forcing my baby to keep sucking to stimulate another let down I noticed a significant improvement in my milk supply and my babies weight. It is difficult to know which of the supplements were really helping. The only thing I know for sure is that when I ran out of goats rue and had to order more I went without it for 2 days. During those 2 days my baby seemed unsatisfied after feedings and when I pumped it was less than normal. I feel like goats rue and brewers yeast are the two supplements that have made the biggest difference and I am still taking them even though my baby is now 4 months old. I would recommend goats rue to any mother trying to boost her milk supply.

Great results, my experience after using whole bottle.
I bought the goats rue supplement to help me increase my breast milk production. I am solely pumping for my baby boy. While it is hard to say how much of my improvement over the past month was from the pills or my power pumping schedule, both started properly at the same time, I am pleased to say that my milk production has definitely increased. I am still skeptical about supplements but, these pills in conjunction with my power pumping definitely helped me significantly. I chose goats rue because mother's tea and fenugreek gave me discomfort through my digestive system. According to my lactation consultant, it's possible for me to obtain these results without supplements, however, if I'm comfortable with taking the goats rue I can continue. I am writing this review after finishing the first bottle. I am choosing to wait to purchase more depending on how my supply comes in. It's up to you to decide after reading my results and success. Again, I power pumped regularly, followed an almost strict pumping schedule, and did NOT skip night and early morning sessions,( very important for milk supply increase) all while taking Goats rue by momma knows best. I was only making 8 ounces a day (236 ml) to now, about 1 month later, pumping around 29 to 30 ounces per day! (857 to 887 ml) I was under supply because I had many issues when son was born, not latching, etc. I was pumping incorrectly and on top of that, I was given the depo shot at hospital day after son was born without knowing how birth control affects milk supply. It was a stressful struggle. But the journey has been worth it. I'm very happy with the results. Thank you momma knows best, if my supply starts to decline again, I'll definitely purchase again.
