Replacement fan for incubator
I have an incubator for poultry eggs that was making a horrendous noise because one of the blades broke off one of the fans in it. The fan is 120mm x 120mm with an unusually long (roughly 16") two-wire power lead. The replacement fan (one of two in the pack) has a shorter lead (11.8" per the specs), but is long enough to work in this application.Installation of these fans would be simple if they were being put into a computer case, as I've done many times before. With the incubator however, disassembly of the unit was necessary, and that included removal of hot glue (or something similar) that was used to secure all the wiring in place in the unit. The wiring was not only for the fans, but also for the temperature and humidity sensors, the automatic egg turner, and the heater. This made the installation far more difficult than it might have otherwise been.Once a significant amount of the hot glue was removed, it allowed enough space for the fan connector to fit through the opening between the controls and the main unit. This allowed me to remove the old fan and install the new fan in its place. Because these fans came with grilles, I installed the grilles in front of the fans to prevent something sticking into the blade, which I believe is why my first fan failed. With the new fan and both grilles installed, I was able to secure the wiring in place so the heating element (which is basically like a string) would stay taut, so it would function properly. I was then able to reassemble the rest of the incubator and test everything to make sure it was working correctly. Success! After the successful replacement of the fan, the incubator is once again working quietly as it did when new. The replacement fan worked well in this application, and if I ever need to replace another, I still have a spare.

High air flow
These fans are well made, moves high volume of air. So far no problems, noise is not a problem.

Don’t move as much air as I’d hoped
They work, quiet very quiet but don’t move a ton of air. Was hoping for more airflow

Very quiet
My first order, both fans were DOA. Amazon replaced them, and that set is just fine. Also, while the fans were sealed in bags, there was no instructions, which at first seemed logical, not alot to replacing a fan, my intended use did not need the supplied connector and was going to cut the wires anyway. The replacement fans came with instructions and in them it tells how to take the wire connector apart to adapt to your system need. What is nice about these is you get the grills and mounting hardware. They are a very quiet fan and move a lot of air. This fans draw 120MA at 12 VDC, I am using 2 in series with a 33 ohm 1 watt, droppng resistor to run them off a 28V supply.

They do what they should
I bought these to install in the outside vent for my camper refrigerator. Only installed one so I have a spare. Nice that these move a good amount of air without making a lot of noise. These work great for my application. Not sure how they would work in a computer case.

For the size, a good CFM product.
After looking up highest CFM for fans this size on several electronics part supplier sites, I found these with similar current/CFM rating, but at a better price, and, as a bonus, able to hook directly to main power instead of having to have a power adapter. I used these as exhaust fans for a laser or 3D printer because I felt the ones supplied weren't as good at moving air.
