This gets a 4 because since the base is so long, it kind of wobbles in your phone and that's pretty unsafe. The cable itself is cool as hell though and works fine, but another thing I dislike is that button is confusing, sometimes I forget if I am in charge mode or OTG mode.The last thing I don't like is that you CANNOT charge and use OTG at the same time, and that's pretty lame. Don't even try to move your phone while charging with this, the cable will come out every time.UPDATE: I am giving this cable a 1. It doesn't stay put in any of my devices properly. I especially noticed it when trying to get some actual work done, the cable slides out like if it was made with butter. I should have known, and now know that when buying some type of mini USB cable, always get one with a short base and extending ridges so that I will be more sure the connection will be solid and non-obtrusive. Also, once you press the button to go to charge mode, you have to unplug it to go back to OTG mode, so it's main function doesn't even work properly, making the button damn near useless. You might as well get the normal $1-$2 OTG cables. Do NOT buy this cable.

Works well as a power OR data cable, but won't do both at the same time. This cannot be used to power a usb device (such as a SDR receiver) with a tablet computer; the tablet battery ends up supplying the entire load.

Really cool cable.Lights blue when plugged in, changes to red when charging a device.Gotta hold in the OTG button til it changes orange to use OTG USB device with a phone/tablet.Cable sleeve material is like wet spaghetti, feels odd, but doesn't kink which is nice.

When I first received this I loved it! Charged pretty fast and it seemed very durable but now, after 3 weeks of using it, it falls out of my phone and tablet constantly. I needed something I could throw in my bag and use at home, work and my car but now I can barely use it in my car and can't touch my device while it's charging or it will disconnect. I bought one for my daughter who only uses it for her tablet at home and she is having the same problem.

This is a great little cable. You can do a couple of things with this thing. Plug your usb into one end and well... read the directions but it helped me out with a camera I had.

As in other descriptions it is true that this cable is thick and works as promised. I like it. My lack of stars is simply because right after I got it (same day) my phone fell about 2 1/2 feet to a carpeted floor with the cable plugged in to it when my dog brushed by the cable, and the metal connector bent inside the cable (and doesn't work reliably now.... you have to find the right position instead of just plugging it in). My fault for letting the phone slide off a table, but, honestly, that has happened dozens of times or more to me and the connector on other cables has never bent. I think I still have the first microUSB cable I ever bought or came with my phone. Maybe I just got one with a weak connector.However, if you don't drop it, it works great on the first day for charging and for the OTG function with a memory card, and the lights make it easy to know when charging is done and to find your phone in the dark. Because of my issue I can't assess its long term durability, but it looks like it would last a long time, indeed.

Works well for otg or charging, but not otg and charging. You won't be flashing your nexus while snagging a charge. One smelled like perfume and the other smelled like Chinese sweat shop.

Poor quality, ended up returning it.
