A simple, perfect product. Most kitchen appliances have digital timers or clocks. But it's still helpful to have a big old-fashioned analog kitchen clock: numbers 1 - 12 with the minutes marked, hour and second hands. A battery-powered clock is essential, so you can place it anywhere, not tethered to a wall outlet. And if you lose power from a storm or blackout, it still runs.This clock is easy to read and completely silent, as advertised. I was confused by the requirement for a zinc carbon battery instead of the usual alkaline ones sold in drugstores and supermarkets. But I looked it up and it makes sense: something that uses a little bit of power all the time, like a clock, does better on this particular kind of battery.Best of all, despite the warning "battery not included" ... it came with a battery! The battery was encased in plastic so it didn't run down while the clock was in storage. An obvious solution to a common problem that has become a cliche. Why can't everything be packaged this way?Sometimes 21st-century problems can be solved with 20th-century technology--and at 20th-century prices, too!.

This clock is very silent! I use it in my office, and it doesn't drive me crazy like other wall clocks have. I work in the health and human services field (provider side), so we have to progress note everything and keep clear records of start/end times for pretty much everything we do. A lot of us rely on our cell phones to keep track of the time out in the field, but it doesn't look very professional to have a client or family in your office and to pull out your phone to get the times. I've also had co-workers complain about a lack of a clock while they're in my office -- we progress note times talking to each other...it's a weird job field. So if you absolutely need a clock in your office, but hate the distraction of ticking, this clock is perfect.

If you plan to have this in your bedroom at night....beware....Overall, nice clock..BUT I needed something that was absolutely quiet. I am currently in bed now and I can hear a sound coming from the back of the winding gears for the 'seconds' hand turn continuously....very disappointed. Might need to return this and find another SILENT clock.UPDATE: Bumped it up from 1 star to 4 stars because of their excellent customer service! Issued me a $10 gift card because I was unhappy with it not being complete silence

The background looks lavender when hanging on the wall as another reviewer mentioned. Doesn't quite go with my all white kitchen! I do like the fact that it is quiet as another one I had before was obnoxious as you could hear the click, click, click of the hand moving. Since I was unhappy about the background color not being totally white, customer service reached out to me to try & make things right. So, I appreciate a company that really works hard to make customers happy!

RUIFA makes a number of models of this clock, all of which were easy to see "en masse" in a grid on Amazon. I clicked back and forth between the various styles and decided on this one. The large, bold font of the numbers precludes having each minute marked, but I would have liked a slightly thicker clock hands. Still, it is perfectly silent, which is much appreciated in a bedroom - surprising how hard it is to find a silent analog clock these days!

I ordered this clock to replace a very similar clock that had just died after many years. You cannot imagine my surprise when I hung it up and it somehow takes on the hue of the wall around it. My husband even came in and said "where did you ever find a clock with a violet toned background" I said, I didn't, it's white. He didn't believe me and took it off the wall. I do not know how it does it, the back is not translucent. Maybe it is just the lighting in my particular bathroom, but the old one just looked white. I have no idea but it's the most amazing, unexpected effect AND the clock is wonderfully quiet. The old one would tick tick tick very loudly, I'm glad it died.

I like the clock because it was the only clock that I found online that suited a certain location in my kitchen. Color, size, a perfect fit. It is quiet but not silent. The numbers are easy to read. The price was affordable, $16.99 at the time. Would I pay more for it? No. The quality of the materials is not there to justify a higher price. But it fit my needs at the time and I am happy with it.

Great clock for the price - love the different color options. It's not as silent as you would expect, given that it's billed as a SILENT clock. This could be the placement (it is near my bed in the bedroom), and I can only hear it when it's night and the house is silent, and even then it's not THAT loud. Either way, good clock for the price.
