MCR Safety 102 Safety Headgear Bracket, Aluminum, 1-Pack, 1-Pair

I like this a lot. I had a couple different hard hats and found that there are two different drop lengths between the slots the ear phones can plug in ( a little less than an inch and a little more than an inch). The shield bracket fits both; however, the bracket cannot fully raise or clear built in headphones if you have the hard hat with the shorter throw. I didn’t have to make any modifications to the bracket as some others said they did so because they had the shorter throw helmets.I am very pleased to have a second helmet fitted with a flip up face shield.

I work in a meat processing plant in Colorado and started using this a little over a month ago. I where this on my hard hat every day as required for slowing the spread of Covid-19. Did not come with the shield part, so remember to order one in addition to the aluminum holder. It has held up well considering the constant use, is light weight, easy to remove for cleaning, and does what it is designed for.Only recommendation I have, is making sure you have a microfiber cloth for cleaning the plastic shield that you put on it so that you do not scratch the plastic.

Easy to install , peel back the protective film on the shield from the top , where it attaches to the frame and attached it to the frame starting from the side . This way you won't scratch the shield . This rig covers my entire mug , past the chin .

This still fits regular hard hats here in the USA most other Shields fit a round type of hard hat. Great product.

Doesn’t fist “most” hard hats as stated in the description. Otherwise it’s a good product at a good price.

Feels a lot more stout than my old plastic one (duh), with good build quality. The only negative I see is the stiffer aluminum bracket doesn't conform to the hard hat's contours as well as the plastic brackets do. My hard hat has some curve to the brim along the sides, and the rear of the bracket's channels (the hinge and spring portion) can't quite clip over that area. I put a zip tie through each chin strap slot and around the bracket to make sure it doesn't pop loose there. Seems like an easy enough fix to not warrant docking a star.

I love that there is no knobs to turn to keep the face shield up or down. Works great with other accessories like ear protection and goggle attachments. I have been using it for several weeks and no issues to report.
