A new point of view
This book sheds a very interesting light on Hans, the main villain of Frozen. I wouldn't say it makes him sympathetic, only that it helps the reader to understand why he is the way that he is. Anna also gets some growth in the book, but some of her parts were a bit drawn out. I found myself rushing through her chapters to reach Hans, since we didn't see almost any of his story in the movie. His character in the book makes total sense with the movie, very well done.Overall, it was a great read, long enough to enjoy it but not overdone. I hope A Frozen Heart isn't the last we'll see of our Prince Hans.

Fun read
Are you a fan of Frozen? Then you'll probably enjoy this book. This is pretty much a retelling of the first movie with an extended version and from Anna's POV as well as Hans.I have to admit, I enjoyed the 1st movie, but after seeing the 2nd movie, I've kinda dived into nerd mode, lol, which has led me to reading different book versions. And if course, I love Olaf.I enjoyed getting a background on Hans. You kinda get a better understanding of his character and where he's came from. He's still my least favorite character, but I enjoyed getting a better understanding of his life.I love the rest of the characters, Olaf as I've mentioned, but I really would like to get to know Kristoff's character more, from his POV and his background. Hopefully this author or another will dive into his character more as well as the trolls and how he not only grew up with them, but how he got there.Fun read, I enjoyed it.

A definite must-read for all older Frozen fans
One of the few Frozen books not aimed specifically at children, "A Frozen Heart" is, ultimately, the story of Frozen in book form, but from a very different perspective than the movie; it delves very much into all the emotions, thoughts, and motives behind everything Anna and Hans do, including many "WYDS" (what you didn't see scenes) that develop the characters even more, seeing Hans' family and backstory in particular. It's written in very eloquent second-person form, and follows the events of the movie very well (with only minor inaccuracies). Highly recommended for adult Frozen fans!

This Book is "Frozen" on Steroids!! Great read!
Brilliantly and beautifully written. We get a glimpse into the minds of Anna and Hans regarding what each one was thinking as the original plot to the Frozen movie played out. Rudnick fills all the holes that the movie didn't show us. She also gives us a back story for Hans and why he came to be the tyrannical prince you see in the movie. This book is actually the Frozen movie on steroids. Rudnick lets us in on so many details that we couldn't even imagine when watching the movie!Thank you, Ms. Rudnick, for a wonderfully written book. I finished it the day I received it. That's how good it was!

Frozen Heart
This is an interesting outlook on the film Frozen. Me personally, ever since the film came out, I ALWAYS wanted to find out what the character Hans was thinking, and this book does a great job on describing just that! I love the way Elizabeth Rudnick describes every single feeling in a very intricate and specific way. The author really knows how to get your feelings on a roller coaster! One chapter your extremely happy and a few chapters later your bawling your eyes out like crazy! This might not be good for really little kids though. They may not understand some of the big words and may find it boring. I would recommend this book ages 11+. The reason this book is not rated 5 stars is because it is a little bit dramatic for a make believe cartoon. If you read it, don't be surprised when your emotions get pulled in by Anna's loneliness, and even Hans' loneliness!

If you like the movie "Frozen"
If you like the movie "Frozen", you will like this book. I remember when I was much younger they used to call these books the junior novelizations but I don't remember them ever having them in hard cover. My daughter really enjoyed the movie when it first came out and asked me why I got her a book based off of a movie. Now she has read the book and she doesn't care to read the books based on the movies lol. She says the movie was better than the book which is ok. I did tell her sometimes the books are better than the movie but that was part of why I bought her this book so that way she could compare to see which one she liked more.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book
Thoroughly enjoyed this book; gave insight into Hans' motives and thoughts yet never painted him as a victim, also enjoyed seeing it from Anna's perspective and what she was thinking throughout the movie. Also nice to see some extra scenes at the start of the book and in other places. Elizabeth Rudnick did a fantastic job and it was fun to relive the story and get to see some more depth to it.
