Be careful when you buy this item. It said it is a dahua camera but is not, is a Chinese onvif weird menu. It doesn't work with my dahua NVR, so be aware that maybe it will not work with your NVR.I did try a newer dahua nvr today, and it works. Dont use this camera in old dahuas NVRs!I tried this camera at night and is excellent...

Another great product by Dahua! Amazing picture and works flawless with Blue Iris software. Not sure what other reviewer means by a 2 axis camera - this model is a 3 axis. The lens pivots up / down, left / right, and twists cw / ccw, that is 3 axis. This camera is not considered a PTZ because you manually move the lens and there is no optical zoom. This is the fourth Dahua camera I have purchased and none of them has given me a bit of trouble, not like the Foscam junk that they are replacing.

It is virtually impossible to configure this camera. I tried everything. It comes with some weird IP which takes at least 30 minutes to change. Very annoying process. You have to change the IP on your laptop to match the same IP class on the camera. After that, you hook it up to your DVR which detects it, but it never connects. It gets stuck on connecting, but you never see any video. I will never buy this brand again. They are on my black list.

The only thing lacking in this unit is a three axis gimbal mount. Being a two axis only, it limits the places you can mount the camera and keep the proper viewing angle. If your mounting point is inline with your intended view, or if you don't mind your shots being off axis (rotated), then this camera will work fine. But, if you are mounting in a corner or on a wall, you will likely prefer to pick the eyeball version to achieve an on axis shot of your scene.All of that said, this Amberella based camera provides a very clear image with very well balanced colors. The gain artifacts at night are much less than some other Dahua models. The IR will turn on when needed, but I was surprised at how long the camera stays in color mode and still provides a clear image.Within 2 days of installing two of these cameras outside my garage, two men broke into my Jeep in my driveway. The stunning images these cameras provided not only allowed the police to identify the subjects, but will also be the key evidence at trial when these criminals see their day in court.It's also nice to see Nelly's team with Amazon. We have bought thousands of dollars worth of products from Nelly's over the years and will continue to rely on their vast selection of great items. Team that up with Amazon's amazing fulfillment system and you have a great one-two punch.
