Covers alot with just a little product
I had brain surgery eight months ago today because of a neurovascular disease and my head was shaved. I've had thinning hair for years but because of the disease my hair is growing in even thinner than ever and it's really heartbreaking for me as a female. I have spent so much money on fibers that I shake out onto the hair that itch and don't really adequately camouflage the bald spots and colored fiber sprays which make my hair so stiff and unmanageable and look like paint has been sprayed onto the bald areas of my scalp. I've found the answer with Rootflage. The Titanium color powder is the perfect color for my silver gray hair and it blends so well with a large powder brush that I use to apply it. I've used Rootflage in the past but this time it has been just what I needed to discreetly cover the ever increasing bald spots and 'thicken up' my thin, fine hair with no itching whatsoever. I finally feel like I can go out with my new natural 'pixie' hairdo when I don't feel like wearing a hairpiece and feel confident even when it's windy that my bald spots are covered. Thank you, Rootflage!

The Ice House color has no pigment
I was really hoping this product would work for me, but it was a big fail. Some history: I’ve tried and loved Joan Rivers Great Hair Day in light blonde, and the Irene Gari Fill in powder in light brown (believe it or not, those two colors are almost identical and the price of the latter is a fraction of the Great Hair Day price). However, I’m letting my hair go grey, and it’s almost white in front, so I thought I’d tried this Rootflage product in Ice House to fill in the thin spots on the top and sides of my head. There is no pigment at all that color; I could have brushed on corn starch and had the same result. It’s my first Amazon return in 20 years and I have to say the customer service was great. Just an hour after I dropped the package with the prepaid postage label at my neighborhood UPS store I received an email that my refund was being processed. The Irene Gari Fill in powder isn’t available in white, so I guess I’ll just pay the higher price of the Great Hair Day, which is.One more note for those looking at these kinds of products...I had no luck at all with Dermmatch (purchased directly through them). It’s not powdery like the other products I’ve mentioned, but is hard, and you have to use a wet applicator to apply. I could get a ton of it to come off on a white washcloth but not a bit of it to come off on my scalp regardless of what technique I tried.

So stinking happy
I have had hennaed hair for a few years now and I tend to go longer between colorings just because it's such a process. My natural hair is now TRANSLUCENT and has no color, so when my roots are grown out, it looks like I have a very wide part (looks like I'm balding), but I had not been able to find something to cover it up that I either liked, worked well, or matched my dark red hair. This is absolutely perfect. I can't even tell where my hennaed hair and the root cover up ends and begins. Some of the bad reviews are that it's hard to apply with the small brush included and the powder ends up in the wrong place. I used my own bigger brush, on damp hair or slightly wet the brush before dipping in, and it goes on much easier instead of just puffing up into the air, loose and dry. I was very surprised and happy when I first used it to find how well it works and how well the color matches my hair. Finally ! Excellent product !

Wonderful, but expensive.
I've been using this for several years now, and I love it. It can be used as a dry shampoo as well, but really Ambiance is better for that. Still... Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to apply - they give you a little applicator brush, which I assume is for details. I use the large brush that comes with the original package, and have only bought the refills since. The design is pretty ingenious - the powder is in a little jar that the big brush screws into. The powder comes directly from the little container into the brush, so you turn the whole thing pointing down and carefully brush or dab the powder on - practice, or you might get too much at one time. The color is perfect. But the catch is this - for a little refill jar of powder, weighing .31 oz, it costs $15.99. Wait, what?!!! Yes, that's right. It says 60 applications - which would vary by the person using it - but come on, less that 1/3 of one ounce costs $16? What's it made of, real gold dust? Obviously I think it's worth it for now, because I've been buying it for years - but they should have a far more reasonable price.

Where have you been for most of my life??
Look saver!! This really does tied you over for an additional 2 weeks in-between salon appointments and allows you to look and feel your best even as your roots are growing out. I start using it on week 4 right after my blow-out. This combined with a 5 minute toner touch-up ensures the my gold locks stay golden and not orange and roots look as light as when I leave the salon! Absolutely brilliant product!! You do have to put it on every day for the last couple of weeks and sometimes twice during the last week before your next appointment. Also, I use a flat top thick brush to apply. Much better!!1/22/17 Update - I have become loyal customer because the product is so awesome! I now have this to add to my review. Their customer service department is ALL-STAR. Amazon fulfillment lost my shipment and when I wrote in to the company to request a review of my order, they immediately shipped me a replacement as they understand how once you get used to not having roots it's sort of life-altering in a way and I had a n event to attend. Absolutely AMAZING!!!

Awesome Right Out Of the Refill Container!
This powder is awesome! You don't need the applicator. I just lightly dip a make-up brush into the refill container of loose powder and touch up my dark roots just in spots that need it most; mainly at the top of my bangs. Lightens up well and blends naturally in. I have found that a little goes a long way. Also it doesn't look greasy like other root touch ups I've used. Move brush slowly so it gets right where you intend it to and repeat if you want to lighten more because if you get too much on your brush you could get a light mist on your face. If you brush too much powder on and find that you've lightened your part line (or you get some on your forehead) just dip a q-tip in water and run it along those places to remove it.
