Vacuum Champagne Stopper in Black Satin Gift Bag, Set of 2

The FizzVac Champagne Stopper works great! Just follow the directions: place the stopper inside the bottle, close the locking clip around the bottleneck, and press the stopper on top to pump in air until you feel resistance. Refrigerate and enjoy wonderful fresh and fizzy sparkling wine days later. I have tried this on bottles of Champagne, Prosecco and Cava and found that it fit and worked well on them all. I was so pleased with this stopper that I ordered several more sets for gifts. The packaging of 2 stoppers in a silky black bag is classy and functional, and makes for a wonderful gift when tied around a bottle of sparkling wine. Highly recommended for personal use and gift giving.

These work effectively for a while. But after not that many uses I’d find the pump section would start leaking even if taking great care to seat properly and wetting the seal prior to clamping. Also, the clamping mechanism should be made of metal or at least stronger plastic because it tends to break, especially when removing from the bottle after the pump did a great job of keeping the pressure high inside. It’s own worst enemy???

Does this bottle stopper do its job? Yes, but barely. If it gets bumped, the pressure in the bottle will cause it to fly off. I definitely would not trust this on a bottle stored sideways, and I'm quite hesitant to trust it even on a bottle stored right side up, because all it takes is a slight bump and the wine bottle no longer has a top on it. My guess is that this design only works well on wine bottles with a certain neck design, lip design, diameter, etc. etc. But this all important detail is conveniently absent from the item description. The fact that it only has a single arm to clamp onto the bottle is the main fault of the design. A two arm design would make it much more versatile in terms of the different wine bottles it could seal, as well as how well it would stay on the bottle. I am really confused by the number of positive reviews here, as this product did not work well for me at all. Going to have to keep looking for a bottle stopper.

I love bubbly, and drink it almost every day. I ever drink more than one or two glasses, so I always need a stopper. Over the years, I've used many. But they always seem to be too loose a fit... my bubbly never bubbled much the next day.Then, last year, I discovered FizzVac. The price is great for just one--and it actually includes two. I started using it immediately, and found that it has a much tighter fit than any other stopper I've used. The second day, the bottle is almost as bubbly as the first.Then, sadly, one of them cracked. I'm not sure if it was the stopper's fault, or mine for trying to open or close it too quickly/roughly. Anyway, I was a disgruntled customer, and posted a negative review pretty quickly.Within a few hours, I heard back from the owner (AJ). He told me that FizzVac has a lifetime warranty, so to just email him and let him know where to send the replacements. Today I got home, and there they were! He also told me that FizzVac is always working on improving its products, so to keep an eye open for the next iteration of FizzVac. I will!This is the perfect holiday gift... for you, and for your friends.

I like that this stopper kept my bubbles and still wine fresh for several days! The only issue is that it doesn't fit over the width of some champagne bottle openings; some are too large and the clasp can't seal well. But, it works very well when it fits. =)

My first set of fizz vacs was great! I loved mine and so I gave the second one from my two-pack to my best friend. I dropped it a few months later and it broke. I have no problem supporting businesses I like and since I broke it through negligence, I ordered another set rather than utilizing the warranty.The second set seems as though it was put together backwards, though. It doesn't hold a vacuum and when I started looking into it, I found that both of the new ones are pushing air INTO the bottle instead of sucking it out--as though the vacuum mechanism had been put together backwards.Five stars for first set. No stars for second set.

I received two in the package. One of the two broke on it's first use. The side bar had to be forced down and it broke in the process. The other works well.

Great product, solving the issue of storing bubbly and having it go flat. I bought it based on it's stellar reviews on Amazon, and it did not disappoint. It's pretty straight forward and easy to use. The dial on the rim allows you to put the arrow on the day the bottle was opened which I don't really use... in my case it should be the hour :)Anyways when you put the top on and begin pumping, it's difficult to know when to stop, I never really feel too much resistance, but I always just pump 10-20 times or so, depending on how empty the bottle is. I know it's working correctly when I open the bottle a day or two later and it gives me a nice/strong 'pop' when the cap comes off. Also nice that it comes in a gift bag with 2 of them...I bought it for a friend, kept one, and gifted the other in the bag. It's a cheap investment, I would recommend it for champagne/cava/prosecco drinkers.UPDATE: Just a word to the wise, if the bottle is very pressurized, it is possible that the FizzVac and shoot off your bottle like a new champagne cork would. So just be cautious in opening.
