My nephew has a pair of Bose AE2 headphones that the right earphone had stopped working on. He had taken it into a shop and they told him that it would cost $130 to repair. Not having the money, he brought them to me to see if I could fix them. Since nothing appeared damaged and since there was NO sound coming out of the bad side, I presumed that he must have a bad cable. So, right to Amazon and we found this cable. I ordered it and when it arrived, we installed it together (now he knows how to change the cord!).Long and short of it, the headphones now work perfectly, he is happy, and the cost for the cord was WAY less then the repair shop had quoted him.If you have a need for a replacement cable, I would highly recommend this one. Just ensure that it will fit your version of the Bose Headphones as mine (an earlier model) uses a different cord.

Works great with my old Bose Headphones

To start off, this replacement is exactly the same type of cord that you would expect from the Bose AE2 headphones, except for a minor change. However, to start off, the delivery service was top-notch, I ordered this particular item and it delivered on the earliest estimated delivery date[My case being May 7th]. Second, the replacement cable is exactly the same as the depiction in the picture. However, due to my own negligence, I bought this cord without the Inline remote:  AE2 inline remote and microphone cable The difference is that the Inline Cord can control the ipod's music without the hindrance of having to pull it out each time to play/pause/change/ etc the music. This cord is far superior to the replacement cable without it.However, even without this feature, the cord still is a viable solution to replacing this cord at a reasonable price.So overall, the cord is a perfect fit for the AE2 headphones, sad that it lacks the inline, but still is a great solution for replacing you are frugal or tight on cash.

I ordered a replace cable a couple of years ago from a different manufacturer and I was not pleased with the quality. The cable soon became brittle and then broke where the cable joined the connector for the headset. This one feels much softer right out of the package. One thing to note is that I received no notice that the item had been shipped. It just showed up one day out of the blue.

Up top is my old cord. Below is the new one. Its half the size. Frankly I dont expect it to last a single pull. The headpiece connector and audio jack fit snugly tho and the audio is clear. It should at least hold me over until I get a solid replacement cord. Im not switching to wireless so I guess this is the price. At least its easily replaceable.

I had after market cable for my Bose headphones. The sound quality was significatly improved with this cable.

Originalware von Bose, korrekt geliefert, passt einwandfrei und funktioniert wie es soll. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen und finde grundsätzlich Kopfhörer Klasse, bei dem man bei einem kleinen Defekt nur ein Ersatzteil nachkauft und nicht sofort den ganzen Kopfhörer entsorgen muss.(Ist bereits meine zweite positive Erfahrung mit dem Kopfhörer und Ersatzkabel. Wenn ich den Bose nicht schon über 10 Jahre regelmäßig nutzen, ziemlich ruppig behandlen und vor allem nicht so oft das Kabel auf der Couch oder beim einschlafen abknicken würde, hätte ich sicher nicht ein einziges Mal Ersatz haben müssen ;) - das nur vorab falls bei dem einen oder anderen vielleicht unnötige Zweifel ob der Haltbarkeit des Kabels auftauchen ... ;P)

My original cable for my ae2 headphones started playing up and I had to move the cable around to get sound in the second ear, I keep the cable plugged in when I put them in the fabric bag which may have caused internal damage. This cable is fantastic and I had stereo sound immediately. It has the same non tangle quality of the original cable, I will be buying a hard case for my headphones!

Ninguna queja respecto a la compra del cable. No puedo decir lo mismo respecto a la compra de estos auriculares. El cable es extremadamente frágil y con un uso moderado en aproximadamente año y medio se ha roto. Tengo otros auriculares con los que llevo más de 10 años sin problemas. Y para colmo no es un cable standard así que no hay de otra que pasar por BOSE. En fin
