Whirlwind (Shadow Horse Series)

Whirlwind is a seat-gripping horse mystery filled with romance... and dogs. Can't forget dogs in this story about rescuing animals and falling in love. Readers will want to venture to the very end without pause just to learn the truth about what happened to Whirlwind and how all the relationships will come together.I dropped a star due to the following issues:1. Chaper 1 starts with a three page info dump about Shadow Horse and Jas' situation. The same thing comes up with Aladdin later. Even worse, the author continues to remind readers of all this information over and over and over, like we might forget.2. What year does this series take place? Shadow Horse published in 1999 with paperback in 2001. Whirlwind published in 2010. Jas and Chase are 14-years-old. In Whirlwind, there is a comment about not being born in 1990. There is also a reference to Twilight and the blackberry smartphone. Plus, the Florida hurricane is called Hilda, which hit October 3, 1964 off the coast of Louisiana.3. No epilogue to conclude anything. We don't know what happened to Hugh. We don't see Whirlwind at Second Chance. We don't see Jas and Chase get back together. We don't see Diane and Danvers get married. We don't see Karl and Quincy move further in their relationship.

This book is a great sequel to another great book. It's nice how the mystery of finding Whirlwind is unraveled, but I wish I knew what happened to Hugh. (Whether he was imprisoned, or let off the hook.) Otherwise, I like it. Nail biter for me at some points.

Good book, easy to follow. As good as the first in the series. Writes with a plot to keep you interested

Through Amazon I purchased a book called Shadow Horse, by Alison Hart and couldn't put it down. It grabs you and keeps you wanting more. After finishing Shadow Horse, I immediately purchased Whirlwind and once again couldn't put it down. What a wonderful time to spend reading. Loved the books, and I know you will too. A good investment in reading time.

Whirlwind is the continuation of Jas in her search for justice and her beloved horse. As with Shadow, this story kept my interest through the entire book. And, as with Shadow, it ends abruptly. It left me feeling dropped. Otherwise it is well written.

I read the first book shadow horse and loved it!!!! I immediately started looking for the next book and found this one. I couldn't put it down!! I finished it in two days and I really hope there will.be another one (it was kind of a cliffhanger ending )

Good book, could use a sequel to finish it out.

It always keeps u at the edge of your seat and the suspense is just- I don't even know how to explain it you just can't put this book down! I just wish Alison had made an extra chapter saying like six months later or something and then put like the guy went to jail and she and Chase got together and Whirlwind is safe and she's staying on second chance farm and stuff like that but otherwise I looove this book!

My daughter says this was funny in some places and sad in others. She really loves Alison Hart books, and has shadow also. I would recommend it.

I loved this book so much but you have to read Shadow horse first to be able to catch on to this story, It is all about (Horses!!) Hope, Trust & Commitment. I would definitely recomend it to another 12 year old horse mad daughter like mine!!!!
