Good alternate for laptops stuck on 2.4g wireless
It worked in laptop---after I installed the drivers on "killernetworks" website, it was recognized as a device but there were no windows drivers available at the time of turn on. Laptop is a Toshiba L55D-B3520, that has been updated with a ssd already, it was just stuck with the 2.4 wireless onboard only. Now it has both 5g and 2.4. Now first speed test are not that impressive, but there is some tweaking to do, like turn off the qos. I got 70mb down and 32mb up, whereas my netgear usb adapter gets 150mb down.

Nice Card for Linux
Good product. Installed in Lenovo Thinkpad 13 and running in Arch Linux with no problems at all. Not really getting AC speeds with it even though my Router is AC1900 but it's a linux driver problem, not a problem with the device itself. Either way, it resolved my issue of having a flaky intel 8260. My connection has been rock solid since switching to this card.

An excellent wireless card if your computer can handle it
This is an excellent wireless card if your computer can handle it.It has superior latency characteristics compared to the Intel 7260 that came with my laptop and it connects more reliably at 5GHz.When I installed it in my Dell Rugged Extreme 14 (late 2014), it was detected by Windows 10, the driver was installed automatically and no update was needed. Here are some problems you might encounter:- If your computer doesn't supply enough power your connection will drop intermittently. This card uses a lot of power.- This is a M.2 half width card. It will fit in a regular M.2 slot, it just won't take up the whole slot. Match the key slot on the card with the key in the M.2 slot.- If you have larger antenna connectors you might need to get new antennae wires or splice on new connectors.- If your PC doesn't have Wireless AC-compatible antennas you'll have to replace them to use 5GHz band.- You need to download the Killer Suite software from Killer's website to get the full functionality of the card.- This card won't work with most HP laptops because they check the hardware against a whitelist in the BIOS.

Brilliant M2 Wireless AC 1525!
I'm so surprised there is no comments under this item. So here is my story.I got my new MSI GS60 Ghost 3K edition last year around June. The machine is fantastic, but the wireless card, Intel 7260 AC, is a nightmare. At the beginning, the Bluetooth does not work. So I unscrewed the machine to re-insert the wireless card. Then the Bluetooth came back SOMETIMES. Yes, only sometimes. I even didn't know when it would disappear without any notification. Soon later, the wifi showed the same problem. Sometimes the indicator of wifi was on, but it could not detect any wifi spot. Only after restarting several times or even unscrewing the machine and re-insert the card, the wifi could work again. I really didn't want to buy any other Intel M2 wireless card anymore, but the fact was, only Intel had M2 cards - 7260 & 7265.After long waiting, Killer survived me. The new AC 1525 has only 2/3 width of the M2 socket. But it's powerful, stable and reliable. Thank you for your product that rescued my companion. The price is also reasonable. I would definitely recommend this card to any others.

I believe it was a 7260 or something like that. The intel was MUCH faster on speed
I replaced the intel card in my zenbook. I believe it was a 7260 or something like that. The intel was MUCH faster on speed, I would get 25mb per second, BUT I could not watch a youtube video for the life of me. I would have to let it buffer for 5 minutes to watch a 5 minute video, it was ridiculous. (This was all due to being about 3 bedrooms away from the 300$ router I have)I installed the CUK Killer, and while the speed tests are about 7mb per second at the same distance at 5ghz, and about 1.7mb/s on 2.5ghz. the internet runs flawlessly now. No buffer time, videos load up real quick in 1080. I am very pleased. I put this in my 2012 year zenbook. Windows 10 picked it up right away, then I went on (killernetworking dot com)and downloaded the official drivers.

has bad functionality, and even if you use just the ...
Killer Software doesn't work well, has bad functionality, and even if you use just the drivers without the software, it's widely known to not work well without changing the drivers. I won't go into details on all of this because I shouldn't have to. You should be able to buy a device, download the latest drivers from the manufacturer, and it should work. Not in the case with this hardware. You'll end up searching all over the internet for a fix and it may work, or it may not. In my case, I am three feet from my AC WIFI router and have 3 bars of signal strength, while my other devices are 20/30 feet away and have 5 bars. I work in computers, have for over 15 years, and have spent way too many hours on this device trying to get it work, but nothing helps. It's not just me... search around the internet and see what others say. Buyer beware. I'm replacing with another card.

Best WLAN card I've used
despite what the description may say, I have a Lenovo Z41-70 and I replaced the wireless card in it with this one and it is not whitelisted. Even talked to Lenovo support about it and they said it is supported. Heard lots of good reviews about it on different sites so I gave it a try and upgraded my Intel 3160 with this one and it is 10000% better. It is recognizing networks that I didn't even know existed. Plus it actually connects to the networks I want to with phenomenal range. When you download the Killer Suite package (free) you can optimize it for gaming or everyday use and it is extremely helpful. I've done quite a few laptop upgrades and this one feels like one of the best improvements.Read this for a more informed product brief. http://www.killernetworking.com/products/wireless-ac-1525
