Love these for Chameleon cage
After getting a female chameleon recently, I learned that she needed a lay bin to put her eggs and she was going to need it quickly. A member of a chameleon group I'm in showed how she had set up her 18 x 18 x 36" reptibreeze (https://amzn.to/2SLfN73) on top of one of these planters in order to plant in it, have drainage for the dripper AND so her female could use it as a lay bin.Now.... an adult cham needs something larger than an 18 x 18 x 36 reptibreeze. I know that. But I have two young chams, one panther and one veiled. Both are very young and in these cages which are good for now. I removed the sliding metal base and set the cage on top of the planter. It does not fit INSIDE it, but it sits along the top just right so that it almost lines up perfectly with the edge of the planter.Inside the planter, I have a few inches of hydrocrunch (https://amzn.to/2ybzRpz), following by a layer of barrier, then some soil mixed with sphagnum moss (https://amzn.to/2ybzRpz) and some eco earth (https://amzn.to/32QvSNl). I have my plants potted because I wanted to see how they performed overall before planting. So far so good! What I like is that it added some height to my cage, while my chams don't actually use the bottom portion, it is there and the bottom of the plants take up that space so they have more of the 36" height available instead of the plants sitting on the bottom of the cage. It obviously depends on how much you fill your planter, but I would say that removing the bottom and adding the planter adds maybe 4-7 inches because I don't fill my planters to the top. What I also like is that I'm able to run my drippers and the plants haven't gotten flooded (because of the hydrocrunch), and while I'm sure there's some water in the bottom, it can be used for the plants and nothing is getting flooded in my cages right now. I also believe that being able to have a soil/eco earth/sphagnum moss base is keeping my humidity in my enclosures up. The inside of my cage reads at about 40-60% during the day time when I'm not misting.

Fiskars 18 inch Veranda 5 Gallon Box Planter
I ordered these to use on our driveway at the garage so that we could have plants there. Here is what I found when these containers arrived: 1. These are very well made, light weight, and have sides strong enough that you can lift from them when the planter is filled with soil and has plants in it. 2. There are no drain holes in it, but there are pressed points where you can locate drain holes. If you are supposed to be able to press these points out, it does not work. I just took a drill with a half inch bit and used the points as a guide to drill the holes. You may be able to use a sharp knife to cut them out, but the drill works great! 3. The color goes well with out brick (used brick) on the house!! 4. These posts hold enough soil so that there is enough water to last plants through the day (presuming you use a good soil with humus or with water retention additive).I am very pleased with the planters and would recommend them for anyone who needs this shape of planter and wants it to look like terra-cotta. Just be prepared to drill your own drain holes.

Durable
Purchased to put inside another deck planter box. Very nice. Could easily use on its own but my planter boxes match my deck and are built in.

Excellent Quality
This is my third plantar ordered from this company. I prefer square over round and they look beautiful on my patio. They are very sturdy and will last a very long time. There is a punch hole for drainage on the bottom. I use these planters for herbs which require extra drainage so I drill extra holes
