Pour Over Coffee Maker, OAMCEG 28 oz Borosilicate Glass Carafe and Reusable Stainless Steel Permanent Filter Manual Coffee Dripper Brewer with Real Wood Sleeve

I purchased this particular brand due to being much lower in price than Chemex, etc. Trying to get away from all the plastic that is inevitable when using a drip coffee brewer... This works just as well as higher-priced ones, brews great coffee, and doesn't take long to get accustomed to using. After water boils, I let cool for 2 minutes, then slowly pour over the grounds until filter is full (don't fill filter more than 50% with grounds). I then slowly continue pouring as the water level goes down. It's smaller, but can easily yield 2-good-sized cups. Strong coffee, that still contains all of the essential oils that usually get soaked up by paper filters. Easy to clean, just hot water and a little dish soap. Love it; Thanks for providing a great product, at a great price!

This pour-over has an attractive design, (kind of a science-lab-meets-Martha-Stewart look) and makes just the right amount of coffee for me - I need my 16 oz. travel cup full to the brim each morning. Like all pour-over coffee makers, you have to babysit it as opposed to a softbrew or drip machine where you just pour the water and walk away. But it's worth it, it's a fresh rich tasting cup. I grind my own beans kind of fine so that makes it take a little longer too, plus the fact that it's small. Overall I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5, maybe a little more for the look. OAMCEG customer support people said they'd dance in a public place if I wrote them a review - I want the video please.

I'm pleased with this overall, and I'd purchase another and another if there was some reason to do so. Just a heads up about a few things though:1. The coffee gets cold fast. I was not expecting this, and it's really the only reason I don't give it five stars. It needs a cozy or some other kind of insulation.2. Not a big deal, but the seam for the filter bottom is on the inside bottom. If coffee grounds get in there, they're difficult to remove, thereby effecting the flavor of coffee into the future. I managed to get all the grounds out and I'm more careful now, but be aware.3. The carafe isn't that easy to clean, so you really need to clean it right after use.In the end, I'd say this is a good enough knockoff of a famous brand, and worth every penny. Hats off.

I purchased the item as a much lower cost replacement for a similar sized Chemex that had broken. While they are very very similar the dimensions are just different enough to cause some issues. The Neck (narrow part) on the OAMCEG Seems to be higher than the Chemex. This causes the paper filter to sit much lower and almost slip down into the main chamber. The also seems to be a bit wider. If it’s not actually wider than for some other reason the water flows through quicker than with the Chemex - which changes the strength of the brew and therefore the taste of the coffee. If fairness, the OAMCEG unit comes with a reusable metal filter an I imagine that filter would fix the issues that I’m having. But, I have high cholesterol and need to use a paper filters. (Paper filters trap two oily compounds called diterpenes. If those substances are consumed they can decrease our bodies ability to regulate cholesterol. For me, after 6 months of using a metal filter my LDL increased 11%. When switching back to a paper filter it went right back down. The link between paper filters and cholesterol is well documented. Google it.

First off, I just want to say how mind-blowing the difference was between instant and ground coffee! It's not even a comparison. Hands down; ground coffee is just superior! Anyways, this product was a good introduction for me for drinking ground coffee for the following reasons:Update: if you drink a lot of coffee, then I suggest getting the bigger versionPros:It's pretty! Very stylish. I love how pout was designed to guide the coffee as I pour it on my cup.The wooden sleeve is a nice touch. It helps you from scalding your hand when pouring.I have not seen or drank any of the fine grounds that I used to make my coffee.Don't have to spend on filters. The filter on this is reusable and can be cleaned.Cleaning the filter is not too bad. Tapping it usually gets 50% of the used coffee out for me. But if you had to scoop and scrape (like I do), make sure NOT to use a pointed edge (I used chopsticks on mine). When you are scraping against the sides, do not go against the overlap and try not to touch the middle-bottom filter.Cons:Making coffee with this does take time. Not a lot of time but enough that you cannot pour a lot of hot water into the funnel too quickly because it would overflow.You also need to pour your hot water in a circular motion starting from the center.Wash by hands***Do NOT under any circumstances put this in a dishwasher!!! While mine still works, the filter inside did not look as pretty when I first opened it.TL;DR: It's a good coffee maker that does not need any third-party filters

Been wanting a pour over coffee maker for some time now. Settled on this little bad lad because it came with the reusable stainless filter. Best purchase I've made in a while. I've been using this every morning for almost a month now. You have to get used to pouring. I have an ordinary tea kettle so I might make the upgrade to an actual pour over kettle in the near future. I would recommend rinsing the carafe with hot water after every use to make cleaning easier. Dried up coffee at the bottom can be a pain to clean due to it's design. A bottle brush would help with cleaning, as well. Overall Great purchase!

Es una gran cafetera con un filtro de metal reúnanle, el tamaño que compre es el más pequeño, suficiente para una taza normal y un poco más, soporta de maravilla el cambio drástico de temperatura.Gran compra pienso comprar el más grande también, para cuando lleguen las visitas.

Muy buen producto, el filtro de verdad sirve, incluso con el café con molido fino. Para limpiarlo uso un limpiador de botellas normal y el filtro lo enjuago apenas lo uso. El agua después de hervir la dejo reposar un par de minutos por si acaso, para que no esté tan caliente, pero el vidrio es resistente y no le ha pasado nada. La verdad me sorprendió lo mucho que me gusta.

huele muy fuerte a humedad, se veía limpio pero el olor era muy intenso,by la parte de corcho con el listón estaban cubiertos con algo viscoso, lo lavé varias veces y lo deje remojando, se le quitó el olor al vidrio pero no al corcho ni al liston, la parte de plastico para sostener el filtro se suelta
