5.5" Handmade Artisan Cane Handle Replacement for Teapot

For the price this handle is perfect. I soaked it for a few hours in water so it could be bent more easily. In this photo it has dried overnight. My only wish is that the tabs meant for wrapping around the ceramic could have been longer. I would feel more confident in it's secure hold if they were. But one of our favorite teapots is back in service! Worth every dollar.

My teapot is pottery, so the thickness of the side of hole that the handle feeds through was too much for this very thin handle. Would be better served for smaller, lighter weight pot w/thin diameter ring (If that makes sense) to feed through. I tried to make it work and it immediately broke (I should have known it would and shouldn't have tried to force it but was hoping the cane was more flexible and I could re-shape a little). I would have sent back, but was hurriedly preparing to host a neighborhood party and it got swept up into the trash during the frantic 12th hour clean up before party started. In short, this could work well for a small teapot. But not for mine!

Wasn't as happy with the product picture makes it look shinier than it actually is and bigger very thin. Should function but asthetically wish i had gone with a wrapped wood handle, but could only find plastic wrapped at time of purchase. I guess i will use until it craps out on me.

To call this a replacement handle is a joke. While the diameter of the base was correct, the handle was so small and flimsy, I dont think the lid would come off after the handle was attrached. (See the photo. The smaller handle is the one I am reviewing.)Luckily another Potter, a friend, had a proper cane handle she gave me to use instead as this teapot was made as a Xmas gift.This should be called a replacement handle for a Child’s or ornamental teapot. In the photo, it is the one in plastic wrap, and I will be returning it.I feel the description was deceptive, and I am not pleased that I have to pay the return shipping. So buyer, be aware, it does not have the Amazon return policy. The shipping in a padded envelope will probably be half the cost I paid to purchase the item. I do not recommend this item or the company selling it.

Exactly what I wanted. My wife and I have had a Asian style teapot for years without a pot. I bought this and had some trouble at first getting it on the pot. We soaked it in hot water and it bend easier for an exact fit. It dried up and fit perfectly.

this is exactly what i wanted except i had to soak it in hot water to be able to make it fit. the ad said only 5 inch was available; this was smaller than 5 inches. dealing with the distributor, simply homemade, was a good experience; they were willing to send a bigger one, but i decided this works ok.

Worked as replacement but could be a bit more attractive.

I didn't get the chance to use it, but it was a nice handle and maybe i'll get to use it in the future.
