This sale is for a two-pound mushroom grow bag of sterilized rye berries. Each two-pound bag is equal to 2 quarts in volume. Our rye is fully hydrated and sterilized ready to inoculate rite out of the box. This two-pound sterilized mushroom substrate bag is sporting a self-healing injection port and a 5-micron filter patch. Bags with self-healing injection ports help to cut down the chance of any outside contamination entering during inoculation. A 5-micron filter patch provides gas exchange during colonization which is an important factor in colonization times. Simply inoculate your bag with 4cc of your favorite gourmet mushroom culture and shake the bag. Allow to colonize in normal room temperature for four weeks or until fully colonized. Came in too wet!!!!
The grains were way too wet. Moisture was condensed in the bag when I got it. I left it for a few days inflated and then used it. Today is day 10 and the grains have exploded and there is brown water at the bottom of the bag. Won’t buy these again!
