One soda bottle water rocket launcher prefabricated parts kit with adjustable trigger mechanism, launch pad, and instructions for assembly and launching. Launcher ships completely unassembled with easy to follow instructions. Launcher will enable you to propel a 2 liter plastic (PET) soda bottle over 350 ft. into the sky using only water and compressed air from a bicycle pump, a foot pump, or an air compressor. Fuel (water and air) is essentially free and readily available allowing countless launches without additional expense. After pumping up the bottle to the PSI of your choice, you control when the launch occurs by pulling on the colored string to release the trigger from a safe distance out of the splash zone. Launcher supports most .5L, 1L, 1.25L and 2 liter plastic (PET) bottles. NO additional expensive materials are required such a wooden board for base, metal mounting brackets, or expensive pulley for string to operate the trigger. Materials and Tools Needed for Assembly: PVC cement, duct tape, scissors, ruler or yardstick, tape measure (optional), flat blade screwdriver (or 5/16 in. or 8 mm socket wrench). Materials and Tools Needed for Launch: Plastic (PET) soda bottle, water, air source (bicycle pump, foot pump, or air compressor), 2 tent pegs (wooden stakes, wire hanger, rock, or brick) to keep launcher from moving when the string is pulled. StratoFins will guide your rocket to lofty heights with straight flights instead of tumbling through the air. StratoFins are made of durable plastic and screw-on to a 2 liter bottle. The StratoFins kit includes 1 attachment ring + 3 fins along with an instruction sheet that provides information for creating a nose cone. Reusable parachute for thousands of launch recoveries. Shroud lines easily loop over fins attached to a 2 liter bottle and gathered at the top with a cable tie. Parachute canopy is just the right size for providing a fun and safe recovery. Parachute is made with Rip-stop nylon fabric for durability.

Who would have thought that water would make a good hobby rocket fuel?
Another grandkids exploration of 200 feet PLUS above the ground. Used 60# on a 2 liter 1/3 full. The assembly (some assembly required - Oh No...) however with a can of PVC blue Goo the mission was accomplished. The instructions were very nicely done, and using duct tape and wire ties for the system was very smart. I felt the whole system was very clever. Grandpa here is a little sloppy with the glue, but no leaks. The only downside is that the release ring is a silly millimeter too wide. You have to hold the ring while pumping before it sets. Trying different little adjustments on the trigger mechanism. It was easy enough use to show a 10 and a 12 year old how to set it up and launch it. They had one whale of an afternoon. The fins really do make a difference. Short story - Works great as advertised - However, this is an advanced toy.

Pretty cool
I bought this kit to make a water rocket launcher with my 5 and 7 year old grandchildren. The kit is pretty easy to assemble but you will need PVC glue. The kids were too young to get much out of the assembly. The color instructions are excellent. I thought some of the design details were clever and the rocket launcher works well. The fins and parachute should be long lasting. I bought a bicycle pump with a gauge to provide the air pressure. It only takes about 20 pumps to get to 40 psi. The rocket flies great easily going to 200 feet.
