Good value
Well, they work! What more can one say. For those who have never worn multi-focals before, they do take a bit of getting used to. When first worn, the floor seems to rise up towards you as you move around and page and screen edges appear bent, but you soon get used to it. For around £20 including p & p I have a pair of perfectly functional specs for use when I don't want to wear my multi-focal lenses - in the evenings when my eyes feel a bit dry, other times when I can't be bothered with the lenses. My well-known High St. optician quoted me something in the region of £200 for multi-focal specs so I looked elsewhere and found these. You do have to try to estimate the strengths you need - there is a wide range of choices - and take a chance. Delivery was efficient and very swift. So thank you.

Hopeless. Don't bother with these.
The reading zone in these glasses is absolutely tiny and right at the bottom of the lens. You literally have to be looking directly downwards at your reading material in order to make it come into focus. Totally useless for computer work or any endeavour where you are holding a book in a normal position!

not great
Not very good, if you want vari focals you nee to see an optician, these are not quite plus 1 at the top and not quite plus 3 at the bottom and in between its just a blur, if the seller was in the UK I would return these glasses as they weren't cheap.

Brilliant
I have bought cheap reading glasses from Wilko, Libraries and pound shops but get frustrated at continually changing between reading close and seeing longer distances clearer eg driving, pictures signs. These are great for this. The quality of lens seems good to me, they are well made and do what I want, ie allow me to see clearly with just one pair of glasses. Don't know how they compare to £100 plus prescription glasses but I find them excellent.

Very good.
I can focus on my phone, book, tv and distant objects without constantly having to change my glasses. Prescription varifocals would obviously be better but also around ten times the price.

So I said "In that case I'd like my money back
I've just had a £500 refund from my optician for a pair of progressives that I couldn't see through! They were my THIRD pair in 20 years ... the last two pair I threw in the bin! But these were £500 for God's sake so I asked for a repeat eye test with a different optician. I was told I have macular degeneration and that specs would not make my vision any clearer!!! So I said "In that case I'd like my money back, as I wasn't told that on my first visit". Then I looked these up on Amazon and they're just what I need ... ONE PAIR OF SPECS that I can read through and see distance through without chopping and changing specs! Plus I have very sensitive eyes and need protection from wind as well as sun so these are just the job. The frames are robust yet lightweight and I barely notice I'm wearing them ... not keen on the style of the frame and hope they expand their selection of colours and styles ... but thank God! At last I have what I need at an affordable price.
