Outback Trading Company Men's 1391 Cooper River UPF 50 Water-Resistant Australian Wool Western Cowboy Hat

I already have an Outback oil skin size large that I have used for years. I assumed that a size large would fit for the new hat but it did not. It was too large.

I now own Four Outback Trading Company Hats, including this one. I have two more in/on my 'shopping list'. These are Great Hats, the Style and Durability is Excellent. All of them are size Medium and fit just a little to big, but a couple 'Hat Spacers', one in front, one in back, under the sweat band, fix'es that problem real easy. I own a lot of hats, from different manufactures, O.T.C Hats are my Favorite, THIS Hat is right there at the Top of the list. I do get many compliments for these Hats. I wear one everyday when I'm out 'running around'. Always wear one when I go camping or hiking, they are Great for sun shade and to keep the rain off your head. I Always spray my Hats with a 'Water Proffer'! Take care of your hats, they will last for years. I look forward to enjoying this Hat, as well as my others, for a long long time! Hat looks great. Color is nice. It does not have a firm build and is a little floppy. So of you are used to a firm felt cowboy hat or Akubra this will not be firm. The medium fit a head that is between 7 3/8 to 7 1/2. I think the Large would have been too big and would require some steps inside the band to fit. Overall for the money I think it is good. Will see how it holds up long term.

I made a mistake in thinking that a hat i already had that said medium was what size i needed. I actually needed a small because i wear 6 7/8s. I keep my hair short in the summer and thicker in the winter. I'm sure it will fit better then. It's a real nice hat. Sturdy, kept me dry in a down pour. I stuck a bit of Styrofoam in the sweat band to make it fit me for now. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent hat. But don't make my mistake. Make sure of your hat size.

The hat looks and meets the requirement. Runs a little big. I tried on a outback hat at a retailer I had been to. Size large fit perfectly. This hat fit more like an extra large. With a little creative imagination it will suffice. I ordered a medium a while ago and it seemed way to small. I just can’t win. Other wise I like the hat.

Double check the sizes on manufacturer website as all the models from Outback have non standard sizes. One models large is not the same as the other.Otherwise, its an awesome hat. Definitely will be purchasing a different model or two. Well constructed and should hold up well.Only con is the crown is a little more shallow than i would have liked. I dont think it would hold on very well in an extremely windy situation.

This is one kick ass outback hat. I purchased the small, and it fits perfectly. The quality and craftsmanship shines through in every detail. Well worth the money. The company also takes great care in boxing their hats.

Great product and would buy it again.
