These awesome sheets a perfect to use as a crafting surface, not just in cooking!
These are awesom. Did not purchase these for a cooking purchase although I am going to be purchasing more now that I see how great they are. I purchased these on a prime flash sale. I just could not beat the price. Even at regular price theft are very reasonable. I am using these in my craft studio. I can iron on these, I can use Hot glue on these, I can paint on these and wipe them clean very easily. They are heat resistant and nothing will stick to them. These are comparable to the silicone craft sheets that I usually use except half the price for twice as much more. I will definitely be recommending these to all my crafting friends.

hard to clean
I've used it a few times on the grill and it seems very hard to clean the mat afterwards. I haven't seen others mention this but to me that is the only drawback. Its nice food never falls thru but I spent much more time cleaning this...even cleaned it, scraped with a plastic spatula then ran thru dishwasher on the side behind plates to hold it up and still had to clean it again after dishwasher. I'd like to store it in a cabinet but still not thoroughly clean. I think I'll go disposable liners next time....shouldn't take a half hour of hard labor to clean. I must admit even after all the scrubbing and scraping it is still intact...but give me a break. Hey a sheet of foil would be easier..just throw it away.

A Great Product!
I bought a set of these last November (2015) on a Lightning Deal. I did not get a chance to use them until May 28, 2016 when I cooked for 25 people at a family bar-b-que. Wow, was I impressed. They kept grease out of the grill, eliminated flare-ups, decorated the appropriate items with grill marks and basically made a labor intensive, hectic task a breeze. No burnt food either and easy to clean. I ordered 2 more sets a few days later. One as a gift for my son-in-law and the other for my vacation home.

Jury out because of my own lack of knowledge
I've tried once in my toaster with English muffins that were toasted with butter and the butter that melted into the material stained it. I washed it off later but there's still a butter stain. So I have to wonder about potential bacterial growth when it's not being used and contact with food in the future. Of course extreme heat for extended periods of time would kill bacteria but it's a thought that remains. Perhaps there's nothing to worry about? The staining doesn't bother me aesthetically.

Try this on your vintage stove griddle!
Not sure how I feel about these. Juices inevitable pool around the meat, which may or may not change the result (haven't used them enough to decide if undesirable steam cooking outweighs the easier cleanup). I don't like to use foil on grill or in my broiler because I prefer the juice to drain off. I mainly bought them to use on the surface of my vintage O'keefe and Merritt stove chrome griddle (cut to fit). The griddle is very, very heavy, which makes it hard to clean. Many vintage stove owners avoid using the fantastic integrated griddle because they don't want to scratch up the chrome, and because it is so awkward to clean. So I think this mat might open up a whole new world of griddle cooking for me. Pancakes worked pretty well, though the mat scooted when I flipped them, so I had to try to hold it in place with an oven mitt. Eager to try eggs and grilled cheese.

Weird taste
Not easy to clean - grease sticks to these things like crazy. Soaking them in soapy water for 24 hours helps a lot.Updated 11/10/17 - I just tried these in place of parchment paper for baking chocolate chip cookies. The good news is that the cookies slid right off the mats no problem. The bad news is that the cookies came out with a very strange chemical taste to them. The cookies went straight into the trash. The mats were not far behind.

Keeps its promises
The black sheet is surprisingly durable, and cleans up much easier than any metal equivalent I've tried. I've had it over (low) flames for extended periods, many times, with no signs of wear at all. It's great for early-stage grilling of high-moisture, or small, veggies (like marinated mushrooms, or fries-cut potatoes), though I'll transfer food to more of a basket-type container for finishing (btw, since it's flexible & doesn't hold much heat, this is a fairly low-risk maneuver). I haven't actually found a niche yet for the lighter-duty beige mat yet; I may cut it down for the oven/toaster oven. Even though it's lighter-gauge material, it's still too stiff to fold around items like ersatz foil.

Mat of my life! I love you!
I use these in the bottom of my oven. Best things ever for keeping the oven floor clean. These Eksel mats clean up easily and are ready to use. I can't tell that the colors change baking methods. I have a double gas oven and can't say one is better than the other. My ovens are not self cleaning and I take care not to have to clean them too often. I bet in a self cleaning oven would need less attention. I wouldn't leave the mat in while in cleaning mode. Not sure what 500F for 4 to 6 hours would do.
