Who Is Neil Armstrong? (Who Was?)

I purchased this for my 6 year old for a school assignment. Not only did he love it but I did as well. I wasn't born when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon and although I knew he was the first man to walk on the moon, I'm embarrassed to say I never took the time to learn about his life. Together my son and I learn so much about Neil Armstrong! I highly recommend this book. I look forward to reading others in the series.

I purchased this book for my 3rd grade son, who needed a 100 page biography book to do his school book report on. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase as the book had good info, was reading level appropriate for my child, and he found it fun and interesting to read. We have already been shopping other titles in the "Who Was" series, as he will need another book report book of the same style for later in the year.

Excellent series of books we plan on trying to buy as many of this collection as possible. It is perfect for children readers who are looking to learn about historical people, places or events. It breaks it down in an informative but digestible amount for the young reader.

One of two books on Neil Armstrong which I ordered for my grandson for a school project on astronauts. He found it very helpful in providing background information on Armstrong, and found the book clear enough for his elementary grade level to extract information to include in the project.

If your kiddo loves this series and wants to know more about Neil a Armstrong, this book is perfect! My 8 yr old LOVES The Who is/What is/Where is series of books! After reading this book he has become more interested in studying space! Great book!

I bought these for my third grade classroom. They are great for the biography genre and then to use for report writing. The three years I've used them so far the kids LOVED them. Easy for their reading levels, informative, and people they have heard of in their lives. They would read their own and then read other that they had heard of. Could have left these books out 1/2 year and they would have still been reading them.

I chose this rate because I liked it but did not give me all the information I needed my last question .What was the date when this book got published? I asked this question because I am doing an biography!Thank you for writing this book!!!

A brilliantly quick introduction to the first man on the moon, which for children is a good starting point into general knowledge. My only criticism is that the language is a bit too simple for a bright 9 year old but after reading now 4 in the series, his understanding of the events and characters frequently appears in conversations, where he makes connections with these historical events. It serves its purpose but it would be great if the series could create a slightly advanced range.

I love every book in this series, my 8 yr old and my 10 yr old love them. Truly fantastic.

I used this as a main text for my Year 2 children as part of our topic on 'Reach fro the Sky'. As well as giving good information, the children were able to join in group reading of the text, and some of them chose to read it by themselves in quiet reading time.

My son is doing everything about space.Right now Neil Armstrong is everything to himA good book for kids to read .Not long at all
