Pacific Crest Tent (2-Person)

I purchased this tent as a one-month home for an ornithology field season. One night, a very heavy and enduring rain pelted the tent for more than three hours. I swear that not one single drop of rain entered the tent! I was very happy and most impressed! If you are less than 6 feet tall, this tent is a great personal tent. It sets up quickly, it is very simple, and it is very strong and impressively waterproof. For the price, it is an outstanding one-person tent, and it packs up very small. I will be using it as a backpacking tent. For anyone on a budget who needs the real deal in outdoor gear, this is a good purchase.

I have the original model tent which went under the name of Hyper Lite, but it's the same tent by design and it is the best tent ever! Super easy to setup, keeps us high and dry when it rains, has a back and front 'porch' and it's very well made, I've had it for 6 years now and it's still in perfect condition. But my worry is that now it's been so long when it DOES wear out, will I have another one to replace it? Since models do go out of production, I'm going to buy this one now so I have it stock-piled for when the time does come to replace my original tent.

Have had this tent for a very short period of time. Set the tent up while utilizing it one of the poles have broke. I am attempting to contact High Peak Outdoors about it but unfortunately they do not have any contact information on their site or amazon account. Hopefully they read this review and find a way to reply or contact me because I have great interest in getting this matter resolved and would love to review the product on its outstanding quality except for this one faulty pole.

Great tent for the money. Able to use it a few times now. Light enough weight out backpacking and easily fit two average size adults and a medium size dog. Rain fly covers enough on each side so the backpacks can fit on one side and you can cook and leave shoes on the other. Two doors is a great feature on this tent. Only thing I would add is a vent in the rain fly. Only to lessen the condensation in the cool mornings. Easy setup and takedown. Like the tarp style floor.

My 13 your old Boy Scout was able to set the tent up and take it down all by himself. It was a great size for one person comfortably or two people closer together. It seemed made well and I would recommend it.

Great tent for the money. I used it above 12K feet with high winds, rain and snow. This is a good three/four season tent that holds up well. It is a bit heavy as elite backpacking tents go, but at half the price, I am very happy.

Easy to set up and take down. Nice space for one - can accommodate 2 of you don't mind close quarters. Used it for backpacking.
