Fits Optoma HD141X
Straight forward installation and very similar if not, exact form factor of the OEM bulb. Long story short my project took a 5'1 ft trip straight down to the ground and my bulb went bye bye. My projector power LED turned RED and the bulb LED turned RED, also. I assumed the bulb was shattered I ordered this bulb hoping it will fit and it is working as promised. The bulb in the picture is slightly different that the one that is delivered, so keep that in mind.NOTICE:I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE TO IF YOU HAPPEN TO BREAK PROJECTOR OR BULB IN THE PROCESS!!! THIS WILL ALSO VOID YOUR WARRANTYI attached some pictures to show you what the guts of this looks like. At your own risk, this is a relatively straightforward installation if you're comfortable opening up things. If you do this (at your own risk), make sure your projector is disconnected from all electrical sources and your hands are clean from debris.Be mindful of how you take out the bulb holster apparatus, since it will be important when you put it back in. There is a plug with two white electrical wires that you call separate from the socket.1. Loosen the fastener from the bulb apparatus, and lift the metal handle to remove the bulb holster from the projector housing.2. The holster is fastened with about 4 screws around the perimeter of the holster. Remove them and track them in order.3. At the base of the bulb where the rubber wires are, slide the protective rubber to reveal the metal teeth connectors to the bulb.4. Take note of the connection orientation (this is important) and remove them, there are two.5. Put the wire harness aside, for now.6. Remove the two screws for the metal harness that holds the bulb in place. Take notice of the notch that sits flush in the divot of the metal harness in the middle. This will be important when you install the new bulb.7. The bulb is now ready to be removed. Now you can install the new bulb (don't touch the inside bell of the bulb).8. Try not to get your finger print residue on the bulb or the lens on the holster since this will affect the image quality when you're done.9. You can now install the metal brace, followed by the metal harness, and plug the rubber electrical wires back in the socket.10. Slide the bulb harness in the projector and secure it with the fastener.11. Put the plastic cover back on.If you did it right your projector should start to warm up and you should be good to go. I tried to test it before closing the projector up, but there is a safety setting that will not allow your projector to turn on.Cheers, good luck.

and it's been working great for over a month now
After searching diligently for a replacement bulb and almost buying directly from the manufacturer, I decided to give this bulb a shot since it was more than $100 cheaper than buying the whole cage and everything from the manufacturer. The bulb is exactly the same as found in my projector, it was very simple to replace, and it's been working great for over a month now. Very satisfied and would recommend and buy again.

... to make sure that I could test for a bad one. I then tested both bulbs in my ...
Turns out that these bulbs DON'T work in my Optima DH1009. I think there must be a voltage problem. I had to return both because neither would light up, but they did a little warm to the touch after testing.I received a prompt refund and they even paid for the shipping return, so the customer service was very good, which is why I gave them 3 stars.

Very happy with the new bulb
Got 3500 hrs out of my factory one in my 141x, bulb blew out 2 days ago. Luckily bought this one a few months ago because I was expecting my factory to go at any point. Very happy with the new bulb. Colors are brighter and more vibrant with this bulb them my factory one. Just hope this bulb lasts as long. When my factory went it shattered. Had to shake all the glass out the projectors and pull the assembly out. Just a few screens to remove the housing and the surround that the bulb goes into. The assemble has a small glass plate in front of the bulb. Anyways when my factory one went it cracked that peice of glass. I just removed it and ran it without it. Colors are brighter. Hope it last just as long.

Seems Brighter Than the Original So Far
So far, I've only had it one day, but I'm seriously impressed! The original bulb I had blew after 1100 hours (supposedly a 5000-6000 hour bulb). I always use eco-mode on my Optoma HD26 to extend the life. I'm not sure if the bulb I had just got much dimmer progressively over the 1100 hours I used it, but this bulb was so much brighter! I don't remember my original bulb (from 1.5 years ago) being this bright. With this new bulb, I don't notice any screen washout with the lights on in the room (I have a dedicated theater room with no windows). The previous bulb was barely watchable with the lights on.I hope this one lasts! I will update if the bulb doesn't last as long - but after one night of viewing - this is great!

Works well but...
Installed into an optoma projector. It was easy to install since it was plug n play. The reason for the 2 stars is that the bulb gets really hot in a really short amount of time causing the fan on the projector to turn on and stay on. And since the fan is pretty loud it's kinda annoying.

Hope this helps
The bulb is not very bright at all and it is a bit blurd. Bulb was installed correctly.

Nice - Optoma HD26
The original bulb on my Optoma HD26 exploded after 1470 hours and scared the business out of my pants when it did (imagine a .22lr going off in a closet). To its credit, its been in all sorts of environments while operating at full brightness. This new bulb took a bit to get it in right. On my first try I didn't seat the bulb correctly in the housing and I could barely see anything because it was so dull, but on the second try, once I turned it on I was amazed at how bright it was compared to the old bulb.Time will tell how long these last, I'll keep this review up to date.EDIT: One year and three days later, after at-least-3-days-a-week use, it's still going strong
