It works!
Followed instructions and I agree with a reviewer who suggested to take half the soil and plant the seeds and then put back the remaining soil to ensure better growth. I didnt do it, there is plenty of seeds on top that didnt grow, yet it was a success. It grew in less than a week and even tho my cats are not crazy about it, they eat a bit. One of my three cats eats more, but I think it needs a bit more time to grow.

Wasted money
When received, I followed the simple instructions, but after 2 weeks, all that has grown is a healthy amount of white mold across the top of the dirt, but no grass sprouts.Obviously I'm not out a lot of money, but I am irritated, and wanted to let others considering this to know in advance the potential problems.

Nice, but more economical to just buy seed from same seller instead of kit
This is a nice idea, but the quality of the container is not particularly good. The plastic is very thin. It still works OK, but if I'd realized that ahead of time, I would have simply bought the grass seed from the same seller (I bought both), as the grass seed is excellent. It grew beautifully and was easy to trim with a scissors when it started to grow too long. I'm quite pleased with it, but I just would not bother with a kit when I can use a four-pack of cheap dollar-store containers. As it turned out, my cats have zero interest in this, which really surprised me. I'll probably try the grass seed anyway, since I have the extra bag ... maybe try a different container for variety, like one of those rectangular drawer storage things, or a bread pan. I do like the idea for getting rid of hairballs for cats who are indoors a lot.

Perfect little kit, will definitely buy more seeds
I bought the Petlinks Nibble-Licious Cat Grass Kit before purchasing the seeds alone to see how well it would grow. There is not much to the packaging, but it provides clear instructions and a generous amount of seeds for the dish provided. I dumped all the seeds into the soil and attempted to stir them in to cover up all the seeds, but there were really too many seeds to do that. Looking back, it would have been smarter of me to spoon out some of the soil, plant the seeds, and then replace the soil over top to avoid spills.I followed the directions exactly--start off in a warm, dark place, keep covered and moist, once you see sprouting, move to a sunny location. I saw the seeds sprouting within 36 hours of planting and full, luscious growth (like in the product pictures) after 3-4 days. I live in an apartment and sunlight is a little scarce this time of year, but it grew well nonetheless. I placed it above the sink and my indoor cat was eager enough to try it, so he jumped onto the counter to sneak in some early nibbles. My father was a veterinarian and I believe he would enjoy this product as well. I live in an apartment complex on the top floor and have two strictly indoor cats with a lot of energy. The Petlinks Nibble-Licious Cat Grass not only provides a place of focus and entertainment for the cats, but also has great digestive health benefits. While I don't think I will purchase another kit, I will definitely buy a larger, more solid flower pot and the Petlinks grass seeds to add to the greenery. My cats thank you, Petlinks!

Didn't Work For Me
I was a little skeptical if this would help my two indoor cats with their constant puking. I have tried switching foods which works to some extent. I have tried different bowls which doesn't work. Lastly, I tried this in hopes it would help a little more. I didn't do much research since it was only $6.49 and saw it had mostly good reviews. It comes with everything you need besides water. I thought the bowl was possibly glass or ceramic but it's just cheap plastic. It came decently packaged except the soil was in between the bowl and the lid and when I opened it, it made a mess. It comes with a lot of seeds and easy instructions. It's hard to mess it up - it's oats and oats will grow almost anywhere. It worked well for me but I have noticed my cats puke up just this grass and no food so I'm thinking it has not done them any good. It's also $4 cheaper at Walmart I noticed so save your money and buy it there if you're going to.

Can't get it to grow
I purchased the seeds option and tried to get them to grow in your standard Miracle-Gro potting soil. I can't get more than a few, wispy sprouts that grow to about 2cm and then wither away. I've had much better results with oat seeds purchased from Burpee. I wonder if these seeds are not stored in ideal conditions in the warehouse? The seeds themselves look very dehydrated compared to what you can order through quality seed sites like Burpee.

Cat - Dog Edible GRASS . . . .
GROWS AS EXPECTED - I read the reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. If you follow the directions, it will grow. I didn't plant ALL the seeds because I wasn't planting a LUSH lawn, I just wanted some grass for kitty. I put holes in the bottom of the plastic cup, put the medium in, mixed about 1/4 of the seeds, water (just enough to moisten/not a heavy soaking), lightly laid the cover on top and placed in a cabinet in the kitchen. By day 3 they sprouted, by day 6 they knocked the top off. I took them out, placed on a window sill so they would green up and gave it to my kitty who took to it right away. I cut off about an inch from the top and gave that to the dog who was equally happy with this little mid-winter treat.I can't say I would continue using this as it is easier to grow the variegated spider plant (which is safe for kitty) to nibble on. The dog can chow down on the lawn outside. However, if it's mid-winter and I'm bored . . . perhaps I will grow grass.

Never sprouted :(
Unfortunately the seeds never sprouted even though I followed the instructions exactly. The only thing I ended up growing was a layer of white mold. Fortunately Amazon's customer service is great, and they issued a full refund!

Cats love
My cats do love this, I took a star off though because it came in the mail in a bag package, and the container was bent and dirt was everywhere. I found a take out container and transferred it to that. Worked fine!
