I bought this book as a gift for a friend who loves poetry and lives in NYC. She loved it. She loved the collection of poetry by the many well-known poets, of course, but she also raved about the book itself--the size, making it convenient to carry, the look of the cover and the feel of the material. I've never heard anyone talk so about the look, feel and construction of a book. This gift was a real hit.

Needed to buy for a class and it’s become a great book to read in my down time . So many different poems that view the city In ways I’d never think to see.

I've given away several dozen copies of this book as gifts to friends who visit New York (including their teenage children), English teachers both American and foreign, and to new, literary friends who find it a fascinating introduction to the city I've lived in for over 25 years.
